On Hardball it's Palin-bots and ex-Palin-bots on parade attempting to minimize the impact of the McGinniss book.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Clearly Shushannah Walshe is still shotgunning Palin brand Kool-aid, but Frank Bailey serves as a fairly effective counterpoint right up until Mathews hits too close to home with the Domionist talk forcing Bailey to make the attempt to change the subject.

By the way just imagine how much better Bailey's book might have been if he had not been so  worried about protecting himself from possible legal action? If that had happened it might have been Joe McGinniss commenting on HIS book instead of the other way around.

Never ones to let an opportunity to grift go by, Palin-bots use Joe McGinniss book as excuse to plea for more donations to SarahPAC. While also encouraging Todd Palin to commit assault and battery.

This comes from the site of Stacy McCain, the same little racist cockroach that helped to make up ridiculous stuff about me back when I did the "Splitsville" post, and threatened to out Audrey if she did not stop blogging, so I do NOT encourage anybody to click this link unless they have a strong stomach and a stiff drink at the ready.

Now get ready to witness the puffed out chest and bow legged strutting of perhaps the most pathetic little mama's boy on the internet.

Joe McGinniss deserves The Mother of All Ass-Whuppings, and Todd Palin ought to give him exactly what he deserves.

So I’m asking readers to go make a $25 donation to SarahPAC to help defray Todd’s legal expenses when he shows up at McGinniss’s first book signing and pounds that scurvy worm into a bloody pulp. Please give $25 to SarahPAC, so that we can bail Todd Palin out on that assault charge — and then fly him to the next Joe McGinniss book signing to deliver yet another brutal ass-whupping.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Just give $25 to SarahPAC, you see, and we’ll cover Todd Palin’s legal expenses and fly him to wherever Joe McGinniss appears in public, turning McGinniss’s book tour into a nationwide beatdown tour.

After McGinniss gets out of the hospital from his first ass-whupping, he’ll probably get a restraining order against Todd. Still, Random House will be forced to hire armed security to protect Creepy Joe because, hey, what’s a restraining order to an insulted husband who’s got thousands of loyal supporters donating $25 each to cover his legal expenses?

I don't think that ANY of us are surprised that the Palin-bots response to somebody telling the truth about Sarah Palin is to threaten the source of that truth with violence. After all we have seen that time, and time again.

Little Stacy even goes so far as to make up imaginary news stories that might be printed if his violent little boy fantasy were to play out:

New York Post, Oct. 6, 2011
PAPA GRIZZLY
Author of Palin Smear Book Hospitalized,Todd Charged After ‘Brutal’ NY Assault

Joe McGinniss underwent emergency surgery Wednesday night after police say the author was beaten senseless by Republican presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s husband Todd at a Manhattan party where McGinniss was signing copies of his new book about the former Alaska governor.

“It was one of the most brutal attacks I’ve ever seen,” said Venona Wineglass, who was waiting in line to get her copy of the controversial anti-Palin book signed at the Upper West Side reception when, she said, Todd “came out of nowhere” and began punching McGinniss. “He was just like bam, bam, bam, and it took three guards to pull him off.”

While police charged Todd Palin with assault and resisting arrest, his wife was campaigning in South Carolina, two weeks after officially announcing her GOP presidential candidacy. Her campaign spokesman refused comment on the McGinniss incident, while the candidate — currently a distant third in polls, behind Rick Perry and Mitt Romney — told a rally in Spartanburg, S.C., that she wants to “focus on the issues important to ordinary Americans and not be distracted by the lamestream media.”Surgeons at St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital expect McGinniss to be able to continue his book tour despite his injuries . . .

Does anybody else imagine that this fucktard is using his special velvet tipped tweezers to rub one out as he types out his violence riddled homoerotic fantasies?

What is sort of surprising is that he would encourage Todd Palin to commit a crime that might get him locked up in a local jail somewhere far from the apron strings of his wife, or the protection of his Alaska friends.

Can any of you imagine what would happen to Todd Palin in jail? Somehow I think that he would emerge with a whole new respect for what Glen Rice did to Sarah back in '87.

Now I do understand why little Stacy has this hero worship thing going for Todd.

I mean Todd IS from Alaska, and people in the lower forty-eight are inordinately impressed with that.

And sadly for little Stacy he DOES look like this...

..so probably anybody who is NOT a chain smoking, asthmatic, with bad teeth probably seems like a God to the pathetic little cockroach.

However Stacy's little fantasy will of course remain unfulfilled as everybody who knows the Palins knows that Todd is a pathetic bullying cuckold who has spent many years hiding behind his wife's skirts.

Simply put he will not do a damn thing!  Not unless Sarah can hire somebody to ghostwrite some balls for him that is!

I know it is hard to learn that your hero has feet of clay, but hey little man that's not the worst of it.

Your heroine also has boobs of water!

Sarah Palin deigns to mingle with her sycophants in desperate attempt to retain their support. Update!

This fawning write up of Palin's appearance at a meet-up of castaways from the Sea O'Pea comes to us from the pro-Palin blog US for Palin:

Gov. Palin shook my hand shortly after entering. She signed my O4P NY tee shirt, as I said to her, “Take New York. Take the heart of it. Take it all….all 29 electoral votes. Do it for my wife. Do it for my mother. Do it for all the little girls of this country.” My meeting with her concluded with a hug from Gov. Palin, followed by a handshake with Todd.

The former Alaska Governor did not address supporters at the Conservatives4Palin-sponsored event, however, Peter Singleton, Iowa State Coordinator, Organize4Palin did. The Palins sat and listened to his address, followed by final bonding with supporters.

Now the Palin-bots are going to come over here again and claim that I doctored that picture to make her look so incredibly bad, but of course I didn't as you can prove to yourself by clicking the link provided at the top.

Of course it does not matter what she ACTUALLY looks like, because this is what these people see when they look at her.

However something is very odd about this appearance.

"The former Alaska Governor did not address supporters ."

Why would Palin show up to this meeting of supporters and NOT take the opportunity to address them?

These are her most ardent followers, and the source of the money that flows into SarahPAC, why would she not take the time to thank them and get them all fired up about the possibility of a future announcement that she is jumping into the race?

I literally could not answer that question. Until I saw this video.

Did you see it too?

There is something very, very wrong with Palin.  She looks quite ill, and extremely frail.

I believe that she is having a nervous breakdown, and she simply could not take the chance of losing it in front of these people.

If you look at Todd in the video you can see the that he has a very worried look on his face, and seems drained from the strain of dealing with whatever she is going through right now.

The supporters in that room were too blinded by the appearance in the sweaty flesh of their demi-god, but I believe what we are witnessing are the last days of Sarah Palin as a political force.

It could be the books coming out, the pressure about babygate, or even the statements coming from "Anonymous," but SOMETHING has almost literally sucked the life right out of her.

Update:  I noticed that a number of you did not believe that Palin looks as ill as I described earlier in the post. I in fact do.

My opinion, and this is just my opinion, is that she is having a rather severe psychotic break. I also believe that it is affecting her health in rather troubling manner.  That kind of skinny does NOT come out of a diet pill box or Red Bull can, THAT is the result of a serious eating disorder.

Some have mentioned possible drug use, and yes that could also be a factor.  In fact if I saw that woman on the streets I am pretty sure I would automatically assume she was a meth addict or a speed freak.

Also watch her affect in the video.  She seems incapable of any emotion, not even responding to the loud cheers right behind her and right next to her.

What is even more bizarre is that she cannot even FAKE emotion, which of course she is usually quite adept at doing in front of crowds.

So though we can all have different reads on what we are seeing I assume we all agree that there is something seriously amiss here.

Palin is scheduled to give her speech later on today.  I am interested in whether or not she can pull it together by then, or if she will be forced to cancel.

Let's start the day with a hearty laugh at the Palin-bots expense shall we?

(With a very appreciative Hat Tip to the very clever and creative Love and Knishes.)

"Sarah Palin had more talent in her little finger than all the stuffed shirt DC Republicans combined!" Most cognitive dissonant defense of the Grizzled Mama ever!

Why is it that when anybody simply asks Sarah Palin questions, or brings up her lack of knowledge about things a leader should know, that it is referred to by these Palin pantie sniffers as a "campaign to destroy Sarah Palin?"

This guy knows absolutely NOTHING about this woman that he claims to admire so much, but he is the perfect example of the male who supports this crazy nutjob because clearly his "little head" is doing the thinking instead of his big head.

And if that was not enough comedy for you, though it should be, check out Palin's recent ghostwritten Facebook post in which she actually tries to give President Obama ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO IN LIBYA! (No, I am NOT kidding!)

The whole thing is pretty ridiculous but I especially like this part where Palin suggests that the White House NOT celebrate the victory over this madman:

First, the White House needs to avoid triumphalism. Gaddafi may be gone, but the fighting may not be complete. As we’ve seen in Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, we must not celebrate too quickly. There are now mounting concerns that we will see tribal and sectarian fighting in Libya like we saw in Iraq. Let’s hope that is not the case, but it must be prepared for.

Yeah it would be really horrible if the President were a childish nincompoop who dressed up like a warrior, faked flying a jet onto an aircraft carrier, and then had a giant banner put up saying "Mission Accomplished."

But let's face it, THAT is not what Palin is worried about.

She would fucking LOVE IT, if the President were to throw a party in celebration of the Libya victory, and then have the whole thing blow up in his face.

That would make Klondike Kardashian's day.  Hell it would make her entire week!

She would rub that in his face all over Fox News, all over Facebook, and all over the country in speech, after speech, after speech.

No that is not what she is worried about. What she is concerned with is that it WILL be a victory. And that supporters of the President will then rub that victory in HER face.  You know, for going overseas to India and criticizing our President for "dithering,"and then later having another Facebook post ghostwritten for her demanding that the President "justify our Libyan involvement" to the American people.

Palin is not worried that this will not be a real victory for our President, our military, and our country. She is worried that it WILL be.

And what does that worry reveal about the truth of Sarah Palin's patriotism?

Salon writer absolutely nails the most likely reason that Sarah Palin will NEVER throw her hat in the ring.

"Oh hell no, I'm not jumping in! I'm just screwing with you people!"
Courtesy of Salon:

The safe bet remains that Sarah Palin is simply engaged in a long and tiresome tease. Every few weeks comes some new sign of her supposedly imminent entry into the GOP presidential race, but nothing ever seems to happen.

For the latest flurry of speculation, we can thank Karl Rove, who used several television appearances last weekend to argue that "I think she gets in" and to suggest that Palin's scheduled appearance at a Sept. 3 Tea Party event in Iowa might double as a campaign launch. Like each one that's come before it, chances are that this eruption will soon die down without amounting to anything. Rove may just have been trying to spoil the campaign rollout of his old nemesis, Rick Perry, and Palin is now tamping down the speculation.

Which is sort of a shame. Because if you're tired of all of this, and if you're tired of all of the media oxygen that the former half-term Alaska governor still manages to consume, then you really should be hoping that Palin actually does get into the race: It may be the best way of making her disappear for good.

Why? Because a presidential campaign would almost certainly end in defeat for Palin. And not just any kind of defeat -- epic, humiliating defeat, the sort of disaster that might once and for all convince the political and media worlds that the empress has no clothes.

If she jumped in, polls would initially show her in contention, but she'd be running a structure- and discipline-free campaign with no support from GOP opinion-shapers and on a message that really isn't unique. Republican voters who haven't yet figured it out would realize she's not a viable option and abandon her for a candidate who seems to have a better chance. If she were to then suffer humiliating defeats in Iowa and New Hampshire, Palin might suddenly find that the media isn't nearly as interested in her every tweet and Facebook post as it once was.

In other words, those who just want her to go away should consider a Palin presidential campaign an investment: You'd have to deal with a few weeks (or maybe even months) of saturation coverage, but there'd be a good chance it would all end with Palin's presence in our lives severely and permanently diminished.

Brilliant!  This is EXACTLY what I have been thinking for quite some time now.

I do not give Ms. Palin too much credit for her intelligence, but I DO believe she has good instincts when it comes to keeping her brand alive and understanding the reality of her limitations.

Sister Sarah KNOWS she cannot stand on the stage and debate the other GOP hopefuls. And she knows that doing so will reveal her complete lack of knowledge about the things a President needs to know, and forever remove her ability to bullshit her followers into thinking she has what it takes to do that job.

And once the political fantasies of the Palin-bots have been crushed under the heavy heel of reality, why would they pay ANY attention to her ever again?

Essentially, just like this article states, Palin would be "permanently diminished," in a way that perhaps even Joe, or Levi, or Fred's books could never fully accomplish. Remember this would be MILLIONS of Americans watching her grasping for facts, failing to adequately understand the question, and sweating like a Sumo wrestler while her whole world crumbled around her.

It might make for some of the most compelling political theater we have seen in decades, but it is VERY unlikely to EVER happen.

What is the definition of insanity again?

I believe it was Albert Einstein who said "Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

With that definition in mind, check out the frenzy of activity over at this Palin-bot site:

Texas Organize4Palin volunteers have arranged a charter bus trip to attend Tea Party of America’s “Restoring America” rally in Indianola, Iowa, on Saturday September 3rd.

Governor Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker at this event and many Palin supporters believe this will be the very day she will declare her candidacy for the 2012 election to defeat President Barack Obama.

Keep in mind that these same people were also CONVINCED Palin would throw her hat into the ring during her last book tour, and again when Glenn Beck came to Anchorage, and yet again during the premiere of "The Undefeated," and at various other times too numerous to mention.

Like miniature poodles running for the door every time they think they hear approaching footsteps, these idiots become excited every time Palin clears her throat, convinced that THIS time she will really do what they are breathlessly waiting on pins and needles for her to do.

What they still fail to realize, even though I have been selflessly attempting to educate them for almost three years now, is that Palin IS doing what MOST of us expect her to do.  Which is to continue faking a run for the office of President of the United States, while teasing these idiots into ponying up even more money for the opportunity to once again be disappointed that she did not declare.

Right now this whole thing seems like a crazy experiment in stubborn endurance, the goal of which is to see how long these people will dangle on the line with only a brief appearance here, or a pseudo political advertisement there to give them hope.

As much as I personally dislike what Palin is doing to these people, I have to admit that I find myself almost impressed that she has managed to successfully string along a portion of her once much larger group of supporters for all of this time. I don't know exactly what it says about her, or them, or celebrity-politics in general, but it has lasted far longer than I would have thought possible even a year ago.

And I once again have to say that I worry about the fragile emotional condition that will surely be the result once she finally cuts these people loose.

MSNBC host Martin Bashir finds way to silence the Palin-bots. Sadly won't work for everyone.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Comparing his work as host of Martin Bashir to that of the network’s primetime stars, like Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell, Bashir’s quick to concede he’s still learning. “It’s a challenge to find a voice, but also to do it in a way that consistent to me,” he told Mediaite. “I’m really more of a listener than a shrieker.”

He may be known as a genteel listener, but that’s not to say he’s a pushover when temperatures get hot. When Bashir delivered a commentary on Sarah Palin’s on-again, off-again bus tour, suggesting the motive behind it all was money, Palin’s supporters unleashed a torrent of criticism–and a few lightly veiled threats. “It was extraordinary. I had people literally leaving messages (late at night),” he told us, describing some of calls as unsettling in their tone and content. “Extremely offensive language and saying things about me personally. They said they knew where my family lived.”

Bashir, in keeping with his character, pondered the passion behind the threats before deciding what to do. “I’m an outsider, but I can tell you it’s a privilege to work in this country. So much of America is special and exceptional. And the implication of people who were (calling) was that because I was criticizing a quasi-politician, I was criticizing the country…that I was in some way implying comtempt or disrespect for this nation.”

Bashir made the decision to respond by going on his program and showing viewers his green card. “I am, in fact, a legal, permanent resident of the United States,” he said, holding the green card in his hand. “And I’m well on my way to becoming a citizen of this great country.”

It was a unique moment and a revealing one. It also put an end to the phone calls. “It was something. To be perfectly honest, it silenced everybody.” And for Bashir, it was not a moment manufactured for television–but a response that came from his heart. “I’m not someone who hates this country. I’ve grown to love this nation.”

I don't think that it is too much of a stretch to say that there is little doubt that Martin Bashir loves this country MUCH more than Sarah Palin ever could.

Sarah Palin is a spoiled little girl who uses the language of the patriot to manipulate people into supporting her, and lining her pockets with cash. Bashir is a man who was born elsewhere and was drawn to this country by the freedoms that many of its people take for granted.

His awesome smackdown of the Palin-bots almost makes me wish I had a green card to wave around when they come after me.

You knew it was coming. The Twitter Quitter thinks she smells blood in the water and goes on the attack.

From the Twit's Tweets:

Pres Obama: you're losing our future. No more pretending "with ever more manic protestations" that this could continue http://tgr.ph/qsHQqE
9 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

This is all part of the coordinated effort by the Right to undermine President Obama in the eyes of the American voters, since they believe they have wounded him politically with the protracted debt ceiling debate. So of course Palin feels she HAS to be one of the first ones to start throwing stones.

The article that Palin links to is this one in the Telegraph, which contains this rather misleading passage:

But the US has a very different historical experience from European countries, with their accretions of national remorse and class guilt: it has a far stronger and more resilient belief in the moral value of liberty and the dangers of state power. This is a political as much as an economic crisis, but not for the reasons that Mr Obama believes. The ruckus that nearly paralysed the US economy last week, and led to the loss of its AAA rating from Standard & Poor’s, arose from a confrontation over the most basic principles of American life.

Contrary to what the Obama Democrats claimed, the face-off in Congress did not mean that the nation’s politics were “dysfunctional”. The politics of the US were functioning precisely as the Founding Fathers intended: the legislature was acting as a check on the power of the executive.

While I may agree with this Janet Daley woman that the Founding Fathers wanted the legislature to act as check on the power of the executive, I CANNOT imagine that those early patriots would have embraced the idea of holding this country hostage, frightening the American people, and damaging our debt rating, all to make a political point.

And ultimately the Teabaggers' "never raise taxes" stance has only prolonged the problem by refusing to acknowledge that the country's credit card bill, which George W. Bush charged up like a Beverly Hills housewife who just discovered her husband is cheating on her, has to be paid off eventually, and you cannot pay it off by raising the retirement age or privatizing Social Security.

Eventually you need revenue to pay off this country's debt, and that means raising taxes.

But of course nothing that this Daley woman wrote really matters.

As most of us realize it was undoubtedly an article that somebody sent to Palin with a suggestion that she attach it to a tweet so that she could sound like she knows something about the economy. That way she could continue to convince the slowest learners on the planet that she is really going to launch a serious political campaign, and that they need to keep sending her money.

Organize4Palin is continuing to lay the foundation in Iowa so that the Governor can hit the ground running when she announces. Everyone who is working in Iowa for Organize4Palin is working on a volunteer basis and any dollar you can provide them is greatly appreciated.

Unsurprisingly these sad people are still convinced that Palin will announce either right before, or during her September 3rd speech to the Teabaggers in Iowa. As evidenced by comments like this one:

i've said this before and i'll say it again:

-SET MONEY ASIDE NOW. already have it ready to go, and don't touch it until she announces.
-EVEN SMALL AMOUNTS COUNT. don't say "my amount is so small, so i won't donate." there are many people who can only afford a small amount of money. if all those people were to donate those small amounts anyway... a large sum can be gathered together! even if it's just $10, imagine if 15 or 20 people donated that, that's an easy $200 for palin. so donate!!!
-SPREAD THE WORD. when she announces, kindly remind your friends on twitter, fb, blog, email, etc, to donate a little bit of money. don't be like bachmann and ask 100 times. XD but it would be good to spread the word to others.

Just when you thought September could NOT get any more entertaining!

In desperation Teabaggers start hallucinating bizarre daydreams of Sarah Palin defeating President Obama.

Archie Comic Publications, Inc.
Today's laugh out loud, Rocky inspired, fantasy of a Sarah Palin victory in 2012, comes to us from some poor sad sack at the American Thinker:

Can you imagine the excitement of Palin throwing her hat into the 2012 presidential ring? Move over, Thrilla in Manila (Ali/Frazier), as the most exciting fight of all time. I'm talkin' Palin vs. Obama, Mano a Mano: the Thrilla from Wasilla vs. the Chicago Thug.

Betting on this "fight of the century" could help Vegas's economy recover from Reid being their senator and Obama trashing businesses that go there.

The more I think about Palin vs. Obama in the ring, the more excited I become. Images flash in my brain. It is the long-awaited, much-anticipated day of the main event.

Palin enters the ring wearing an Old Glory-themed robe to Lee Greenwood singing "God Bless the USA (Proud to be an American)." Obama enters the ring wearing a pink robe, courtesy of Code Pink, as Al Sharpton sings "We Shall Overcome."

For fourteen rounds, Obama and Palin pound each as the upper hand changes several times. Then, round fifteen -- the final round.

Palin, exhausted from battling Obama and his tag-team partner, the liberal media, miraculously lands a knockout punch to Obama's jaw. The final bell rings. The fight is over. Sarah Palin has won the 2012 presidential election. The crowd of mostly Tea Party patriots goes crazy with jubilation. Obama's media is stunned.

Reporters flock to the rubber-legged, emotionally drained Palin. Sarah's eyes focus on her husband Todd as he pushes his way through the thronging media. Sarah fearfully yells, "Tooooooodd!" Todd yells, "Sarah!"

Finally he reaches her. They embrace. "Todd, I love you!" "I love you, too!" is Todd's reply. Our national anthem plays in the background.

...........WTF?

As all of you know I enjoy creating parodies once in a while, but I can tell you with no equivocation that I would be hard pressed to come up with ANYTHING as hysterical and pathetic,to illustrate the bizarre fantasy that these people have for this woman, than what you just read.

And the truly humorous part is that they are dead serious!

I cannot help but imagine the field day that Sigmund Freud would have with these fantasies.

From the "Why didn't somebody think of this before?" file. Chicago Palin-bot just rents the damn theater and shows "The Undefeated" himself!

Courtesy of Time Out Chicago:

It was, for a Democrat-dominated city, a sight as rare as lush trees in the remote Alaskan tundra: a room packed with self-avowed Palinistas. The conservative baby cubs came to a rented theater at the Gene Siskel Film Center on July 23 to suckle at the teat of their “Mama Grizzly” during the first (and, so far, only) Chicago screening of The Undefeated, writer-director Stephen K. Bannon’s unabashed love letter to the onetime vice presidential nominee.

“I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t know if there’s any thought in Illinois. Wasn’t Quinn the running mate of the guy we just convicted?” William Kelly sounded off. The conservative commentator and erstwhile Illinois comptroller candidate ponied up the cash for the theater rental. “If I have to rent out every theater in town so people will see this film, I’ll do it,” said Kelly, only half joking.

See? This movie CAN TOO fill up theater seats!

All you have to do is find ONE guy with deep pockets to rent the theater and show it for free. Isn't that how Star Wars got to be such a blockbuster?  Or wait, maybe that was Deep Throat?

Well I am sure that the people who enjoy this movie are just your regular, every day Americans. (Just like the ones that enjoyed Deep Throat.)

Nearby, a gentleman in his sixties, wearing a “Palin 2012” T-shirt and carrying a tote bag emblazoned with Palin’s face, discussed his lack of surprise at being surrounded by so many like-minded people.

“You think this area should be so Democratic and so Obama, and it is to a certain extent,” said the man, a member of Organize4Palin who goes by the nickname Super Yoni. “But there are more of us out there than you know.”

The Illinois branch of Organize4Palin numbers about 100 members, one of the group’s coordinators, Whitney Zahnd, told me. The 28-year-old health-care researcher made the drive from Springfield in her Organize4Palin tee emblazoned with a bear and the slogan “Get your grrr on.”

Okay well maybe "regular, everyday Americans" was kind of a stretch.

But it is not like they are a bunch of shut ins with no social skills or ability to conduct themselves properly in public. Right?

In short time, the chatter grew to a Mama Grizzly roar. A theater employee gently announced to the crowd, “You’re going to have to take your conversation outside.”

Oh.  Well I certainly hope that during their little field trip away from the facility they were not confronted with anything that would disturb their fantasies about Sarah Palin's popularity or demonstrate to them just how far out on the fringe their faith in the Mama Grizzly was to those living in the REAL world.

On the sidewalk, the Palinistas were disheartened, though not stunned, at what they saw. Across the street, the Chicago Theatre’s marquee announced that night’s sold-out show: Bill Maher, the lefty political comedian who famously called their political idol a “dumb twat.”

Now THAT is why it is always so much safer for Palin-bots to just to stay in their mother's basement, where the Cheetos are plentiful, they can troll liberal blogs uninterrupted for hours, and the television is always tuned to QVC.

The "Curse of Palin" infects the office of Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar. Apparently Thomas Van Flein is a carrier.

"Could you hold that thought Congressman? My Sarah Palin emergency cell phone is ringing!"
Courtesy of Politico:

Staffing problems at the highest level of Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar’s office have thrown his operation into disarray — spurring a string of departures and prompting members of the congressman’s inner circle to reach out for help, internal emails obtained by POLITICO indicate.

“Gosar has serious congressional staff issues,” said one Arizona Republican familiar with the operation. “It’s a total cluster.”

The emails, written by former staffers while they were still on the payroll, implicate chief of staff Rob Robinson and legislative director Tom Van Flein as the heart of the problem.

Gosar’s decision to hire the pair after he was elected raised eyebrows from the beginning — both men had no prior congressional experience and both had close ties to Sarah Palin, who boosted Gosar’s campaign with an endorsement.

Gosar’s relationship with Robinson began long before his recent venture into politics. They met when both served on the American Dental Association’s government affairs council, and eventually grew so close, Robinson quit his Wasilla-based dental practice in 2009 to become Gosar’s chief adviser. Robinson got to know Palin during his time dabbling in Alaska politics and through Van Flein, who also counts as clients Palin and the Alaska Dental Society.

In January, Gosar assured those concerned about Robinson and Van Flein’s lack of political experience that he trusted both men and that their relationships with Palin wouldn’t affect his office. “When it comes to politics, it’s nice to be mired with Sarah Palin. But I’m Paul Gosar. I’m my own person,” he told Roll Call at the time.

In a lengthy message sent in late January by Gosar’s former communications director, Stefani Zimmerman describes Van Flein as disengaged and preoccupied with the former Alaska governor’s portfolio.

Zimmerman accused Van Flein — who remains one of Palin’s most trusted advisers — of spending office time on Palin and other clients. She also said he “relays information the staff discusses with each other to people like Sarah Palin” and “writes op-eds and speeches without permission, all from Sarah Palin’s point of view.”

In meetings, Zimmerman claimed, Van Flein “asks questions that would benefit Sarah, not Paul,” and “advises Paul from a tea party perspective, not Arizona 1st’s perspective.”

Zimmerman also charged that Van Flein, like Palin, “goes rogue, … takes meetings, advises Paul, etc., without telling anyone, including Rob.”

Go ahead and ask yourself if this comes as any surprise to you.

No, of course not. Because as we all know EVERYTHING Palin touches turns to shit.

You know on a personal note I just have to say how much I have missed "Tommy" Van Flein around here.

Why it seems like just yesterday he was desperately bailing like a one armed sailor while Joe Miller's Senate campaign sank into the inky blackness of Alaska politics. With experience and credentials like that you can imagine what an asset he must be to Paul Gosar.

I am almost embarrassed at how sentimental I become when I think back to  the days when Tommy would threaten to sue me on the Grizzled Mama's behalf (When we both knew he did not have the legal right nor sufficient set of balls to pull it off), or I would trick him into having brunch with me just to see the shocked look on his face.

But does he ever call?  Or even write?  Hell no.

Oh well I guess those carefree days of constant strife and "take no prisoners" warfare are all but gone now.

What can I say?  Alaska's loss is....well apparently now Arizona's loss.

It is interesting to note, by the way, that it now seems apparent that whenever somebody pisses Klondike Kardashian off that it makes Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar's ability to do his job grind to a standstill, since part of his staff is then preoccupied with helping her with damage control and soothing her ruffled feathers.

You know SOMEBODY in Arizona politics might take that information and use it for their benefit.

I am just saying.

Lawmakers puzzled by last minute SarahPAC donations. "Uh, thanks?" Update!

"Dear (fill in the blank), thank you for being a common sense patriot, that ignores silly distractions like logic or facts. Here's some money."
Courtesy of The Hill:

The 13 lawmakers who received campaign donations from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) have one thing in common — none of them got advance notice the checks were coming.

Palin distributed $65,000 to candidates during the first half of this year, according to a Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing this month by Sarah PAC, Palin's political action committee.

But the lawmakers who received donations said they never heard from the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee — and possible 2012 presidential candidate — or her representatives about the money.

"The check showed up; there was no discussion ahead of time," said a spokesman for the campaign of Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.), one of 11 House Republicans and two GOP senators to receive donations.
The contributions were unsolicited and unheralded, according to the lawmakers who received the donations and their campaign committees.

Palin doled out the maximum $5,000 to 13 incumbent Republicans: Sens. Bob Corker (Tenn.) and Roger Wicker (Miss.) both received donations, as did Reps. Lou Barletta (Pa.), Larry Bucshon (Ind.), Ann Marie Buerkle (N.Y.), Francisco "Quico" Canseco (Texas), Mike Coffman (Colo.), Sean Duffy (Wis.), Renee Ellmers (N.C.), Mike Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Martha Roby (Ala.), Allen West (Fla.) and Hartzler.

The contributions were all made on the penultimate day of the second quarter, June 29, with the exception of one sent to Coffman, which was a debt retirement check sent Jan. 31.

You know I hate to be negative, but it KIND of seems that the super sharp accountants running SarahPAC were completely caught off guard by the fact that it was the end of the quarter, and time to quickly dole out some money to politicians in order to continue the facade that they are a political action committee, and not just a tax free pool of readily available money that Sarah Palin can use for things like bus tours, baby nannies, road kill inspired fright wigs, and of course monetary gifts for those who troll the internet leaving nasty remarks on liberal blogs on Palin's behalf. (You don't expect Bristol, Willow, and Piper to get real jobs do you?)

And what makes me think it was last minute?

In the cases of Corker and Wicker, Palin's contributions are especially head-scratching for political observers because of the ire both members have drawn from the right. Wicker has long been known as an advocate of so-called pork projects, and conservatives bristled at Corker's work with then-Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) last year on Wall Street reform legislation. (Corker eventually bailed from talks.)

"Wicker and Corker in particular make exciting prospects for the Tea Party movement," wrote Erick Erickson, the head of the influential conservative blog RedState, the day after last fall's election.

Hmm, it sort of looks like WHOEVER made the decision as to which lawmakers were to receive this $65,000 did their research by simply visiting Redstate and reading that old article, and did not bother to find out if the individuals named were STILL embracing teabagger ideals.  Doesn't it?

Well perhaps I am being too much of a cynic (I do that sometimes), surely the people of SarahPAC would be happy to clear this up.

A spokesman for Sarah PAC did not respond to emails seeking an explanation as to the former governor's contributions.

Or then again, perhaps not.

You know maybe if the little SarahPAC elves were to follow their Queen's example, and write on their hands that they needed to make a few political donations BEFORE the end of the quarter, they might not look like such complete amateurs.

No your eyes are not deceiving you, the moron is STILL writing notes on her hand.
After all, look how intelligent it makes her appear!

Update: Just to rub salt in this wound, I now have learned that many of the lawmakers who received donations from SarahPAC also voted to RAISE THE DEBT CEILING.

Sens. Bob Corker Tennessee and Roger Wicker of Mississippi both voted for the compromise and had already received $5,000 donations from SarahPAC this year. So did Reps. Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania, Larry Bucshon of Indiana, Francisco "Quico" Canseco of Texas, Mike Coffman of Colorado (whose check was not designated for his 2012 race, but was instead donated to help retire his 2008 debt), Sean Duffy of Wisconsin, Renee Ellmers of North Carolina, Mike Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Allen West of Florida.

If you will excuse me I think I will try to be a little helpful for a change, make a call to Sears, and put a new refrigerator on layaway for the Palins.  Somehow I think they are going to need one.

The epic defeat of "The Undefeated."

You know sometimes an image is almost all that you need to make your point.

This film was doomed from the start, which anybody who was really in Alaska, and knew about Sarah Palin's time as governor, could have easily predicted.  In fact I do believe that I did.

However besides simply indicating how bad this movie was, it is also an indication of how truly inconsequential the Palin-bots have become.  After all they both begged and threatened people to get them to go see this film, and virtually NOBODY responded.

It is very hard NOT to see this as a dry run for Palin's Presidential campaign.

If she does declare in September I have little doubt that the result will look very much like the box office results pictured above. In other words, in the immortal words of my daughter, it will be another EPIC FAIL!

(H/T to Box Office Mojo.)

Update: It looks like Malia wrote something about this as well.

It is possible that some of the Palin-bots have started to lose faith in their Queen?

Courtesy of Des Moines Register:

The grass-roots group Organize4Palin isn't organizing a campaign for Iowans to write in Sarah Palin's name on their straw poll ballots.

Peter Singleton, the Iowa leader of the grass-roots group, which is unaffiliated with the former Alaska governor, told the blog Conservatives4Palin: "We are not even sending an email out to our mailing list in the state encouraging people to do so. We are simply not focused on this."

Singleton said the Aug. 13 straw poll isn't a priority because Palin isn't a declared candidate. But the group predicts she will announce soon that she's running for president, so Organize4Palin's attention is on the Feb. 6 Iowa caucuses.

"At that point, the campaign will begin in earnest for Governor Palin's grass-roots supporters in this state, and we will be ready when that moment comes."

This sounds like another rationalization to me.

It is hard to believe that a group of people that would pimp Palin's propaganda film as hard as they did (Only to fail in their effort to make it some sort of sleeper hit by the way) would allow this straw poll to pass without putting out SOME effort to get Palin's name on it, unless they realized that it would once again be another example of their idol returning to her usual place on the bottom of the list of GOP Presidential hopefuls.

And it is not like they don't turn somersaults every time Palin miraculously does well on a poll, because they do. So why skip this one? Especially since many of her supporters are under the impression that Palin will announce her candidacy during her big Teabagger speech in Iowa this September.

Could it be that they are starting to fear that WE have been  right about Palin all along? Because eventually they will have to admit, at least to themselves, that we have.

Having run out of theaters willing to show Palin's pathetic propaganda film, now her supporters have taken to showing it in their homes! Can we change the name of the film now?

Yet another hat tip to Azure Ghost, who I imagine NEVER thought her poster would come in this handy!
From the Sea O'Pee (Where else?):

Toni Hagen of Mason City will be hostess for three showings Saturday of a new political film, “The Undefeated,” which promotes former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The film had its premiere in Pella last month with Palin in attendance.

Hagen, a volunteer with a grassroots effort called Organize4Palin, has an advance copy of the film for private screenings and will be showing it at her home in Mason City at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. Saturday.

I can hear Ms. Hagen's pitch now: "This film is the greatest celluloid epic in this, or any other, century.  And if you don't believe me, come over to my house where I will be showing it on a white bed sheet tacked to the wall of my family room."

You know I wonder if the Palin-bots even take the time to stop and think before they put up a post like this?

I mean come on, you people are not even making this challenging for me anymore!

Update: Well now we know why they have to show the film at their teabagging neighborhood block parties.  "The Undefeated" is down 60.5% at the box office this week.

I guess all of that begging and threatening was just NOT enough to get anybody to waste two hours of their precious life watching this steaming pile of moose shit.

Update 2: You know I think Palin might seriously be having a nervous breakdown. Check out this newest tweet:

@BarackObama you're wrong, threatening to throw seniors under the bus because you refuse to prioritize govt spending.Time to #womanup & lead
52 minutes ago via web

Does this lunatic REALLY believe that Obama pays even the slightest bit of attention to her?

You know I wonder if this is the first time that a person's psychotic episode was captured on Twitter?

You might be able to fool the general public about the success of the Palin propaganda film "The Undefeated," but you CAN'T fool the movie critics!

Image courtesy of the amazing Love and Knishes.
From Box Office Mojo:

Normally, a movie with such poor box office would not receive story coverage on Box Office Mojo, but the furor over The Undefeated calls for an injection of truth.

Even before The Undefeated bottomed out in its second weekend, the movie was a bust in its first weekend, but its boosters latched onto two stats: per-theater average and ranking among political documentaries. The classic tactics of movie spin include bragging about per-theater average and declaring a high ranking in a niche category. The funny thing is that Undefeated's opening didn't rate highly on either front, making the spin extra-egregious.

Within the minor political documentary sub-genre, The Undefeated's $6,532 opening weekend per-theater average ranked 33rd out of the 91 limited openings tracked over the past 30 years, normalized for ticket price inflation. Among all documentaries, it was in the middle of the pack. Hardly worthy of hyperbole. Even if it had little to no advertising, Undefeated had far more media coverage than most other political documentaries and independent releases could ever dream of. The awareness was there.

Undefeated boosters ran with the notion that the movie's opening had the "second highest per-theater average of the weekend, behind only Harry Potter," but the movie was actually sixth in that metric. They also latched onto a press release about how The Undefeated averaged "above $11,000 in top markets." But averages are naturally higher in top markets (that's why they're "top markets") and, without context (how it compared to other movies' grosses in those markets), that was a meaningless statistic.

It's extremely myopic to believe that having one of the higher per-theater averages on a given weekend means a movie is a success, and The Undefeated's second weekend bore that out. Indeed, "per-theater average" is one of the most overrated stats. For limited releases, the most receptive locations are cherry-picked with the purpose to impress with a high per-theater average in order to book more markets. The fewer the theaters, the easier it is to have a higher average.

To put these numbers into further perspective: The Undefeated's ten theaters on opening weekend yielded 159 showings. Using the current average ticket price of $7.86, that means the movie played to an estimated 52 people per average showing or at about one-fifth to one-quarter capacity. In the movie's second weekend, which had 211 showings, the per-showing average attendance dropped to 15.

Damn, I like how this guy Brandon Gray left absolutely NO doubt that this movie was an unmitigated disaster.

Not really much argument left is there?

Which makes THIS, seem just that much more pathetic.

The path to the White House runs through the theaters across America showing this film.

We need to sell those theaters out! No more excuses, no more complaints. Let’s show the world why we support her. Show them this film! We need your help to make this happen. We can’t sit silently anymore. Now we must act.

Special incentives:

Each Youth For Palin's Youth Brigade member will receive special rewards including $$ compensation and/or a donation to our group (your choice). special recognition, and other items.

Game On!

Personally I think that any parent who encourages their child to pimp this move for Snowdrift Snooki should be brought up on charges of child abuse.

It finally dawned on me who the Palin-bots who are refusing to see the writing on the walls about Palin's pathetic propaganda piece remind me of.  They remind me of those Japanese soldiers who stayed at their posts for decades because they did not realize the war was over.

Sarah Palin throws out another crumb for her supporters.

Who has two thumbs and is a big political prick tease? This girl!
Courtesy of Real Clear Politics:

In the latest indication that her sights are still set on a presidential run, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has accepted an invitation to keynote a Tea Party rally in Waukee, Iowa, on Sept. 3, RealClearPolitics has learned.

The Labor Day weekend visit to the nation's first voting state comes after Palin indicated during an appearance on Fox News earlier this month that she would make her decision about whether to launch a campaign in August or September.

All signs now point to September as the month when Palin would throw her hat into the ring, as logistical concerns ranging from fundraising to getting her name on the ballot in various states would likely preclude further delay.

Many prominent political analysts and Republican operatives have expressed skepticism that Palin is seriously considering a presidential bid, since she has not taken many of the steps that candidates traditionally take before jumping into the race, such as signing early-state consultants, contacting key powerbrokers and boosting their travel schedules.

But Palin has a long history of shunning the Republican Party machinery and taking an unconventional approach to campaigns -- a mind-set that appears to have been in play throughout the past several months.

Jesus this is just getting more and more pathetic.

Has anybody else noticed that Palin does just the bare minimum to keep stringing her simple minded supporters along?

Everybody writes her off as a candidate, so she goes on a family vacation disguised as the start of a political campaign.

It looks like nobody gives two shits about her movie, so suddenly she decides to drag Todd out of the mothballs and show up in Iowa for the premiere.

People start pointing out that they have not seen her for awhile, so she does a perfunctory eight minute interview with Greta Van Susteren on a topic that she can barely understand.

So now pundits are saying that she has done NOTHING to give any indication that she is a serious candidate, and all of a sudden we hear that she is giving a keynote speech in Iowa.

And do you know what?  The Palin-bots and political reporters will rise to the bait every single time!

Sad, but true.

Team Sarah is now DEMANDING that their members FORCE their friends and family to attend Sarah Palin's propaganda film "The Undefeated." Just buy a ticket Mom, and nobody has to get hurt!

With full credit for the graphic once again to Azure Ghost.
This was sent to my e-mail from my favorite mole over at Team Sarah.

I will try to recreate it exactly as it appears in the e-mail, including the screaming capitalization's and histrionic changes in font size, just so you can get the full, batshit crazy effect.

A message to all members of Team Sarah

Team,

The movie, The Undefeated, faces an onslaught of the same kind of “invalidation” that Sarah Palin faces from the media establishment.

For those who have been out promoting the movie, and trying to get people in the cities where it is showing to BUY TICKETS NOW, this has been quite a journey.

Movies, ALL movies, have their ups and downs, but you can bet that when The Undefeated has its “ups” the media will ignore that and when it has its “downs” the media will over-hype it, as if “it’s all over because of a bad day!”

Everyone knows that "success" is never a straight line!

The fight to make sure people KNOW the truth about how the ESTABLISHMENT treats ordinary Americans who rise to leadership is only just beginning!

Just because you don't live in a city where the movie is currently playing does not mean you CANNOT HELP! Email teamsarahhq@gmail.com to see how you can help as a virtual ambassador!

Whoever thinks this is going to be easy, here's the truth. IT CANNOT BE EASY!

The stakes are too high!

The opposition is DESPERATE to discredit all that we stand up for!

Hard, however, is not IMPOSSIBLE.

What kind of country do you want to leave your children, one where the values of a Tina Fey rule or one where the values of Sarah Palin are strong?

WHAT WE DO NOW will potentially decide how that question is answered!

How much can you do, how far out of your comfort zone can you go, for your children's future?

Here's what is needed: we need to get people to come to these theaters and we need to beat back the liberal narrative. WE CAN DO this because we MUST do it!

Here’s the WHOLE point of all this- We need EVERYONE in EACH CITY to focus on getting 25 people to come to the movie TOMORROW and THURSDAY!

TICKETS are available here,

IF you live in any of the cities where this movie is showing, or within 100 miles, then WE NEED YOU! If you DON'T live near these cities, we STILL need you!

EMAIL teamsarahhq@gmail.com and we will send you our own information pack!

The movie IS coming to DVD, but even if millions of the DVD’s are sold, the media will STILL try to use whatever WE DO at the box office as a measure of success. COUNT ON IT!

We need to ask people we know in those cities to COME!

Don’t ask, tell! What I mean is, call your buddy up and say, “you’re going to this movie, OK? It’s a done deal, I need you to go.’ Don’t be shy. Imagine your children’s future depends on it.

WE NEED-

CITY HOSTS who live near the cities where the movie is being launched. More cities are being added, so just email and we will put you on a list when the movie comes your way....

VIRTUAL AMBASSADORS- people who can help with social media and making phone calls. You don’t have to LIVE in a city to RECRUIT for that city!

WANT TO LEARN MORE?

EMAIL teamsarahhq@gmail.com and we will send you our own information pack!

Thanks to all who are helping now!

Wow!  I mean, wow! That was just, wow!

Well thank God they are not panicking anything, right?  Just imagine how much worse it would be if they lost faith in their idol's ability to draw a crowd on her own and they felt they had to FORCE PEOPLE TO GO TO HER MOVIE!

I mean seriously?  Who tells their friends and loved ones that they either go see this movie or else?

You know I was worried before, but now I think we are actually seeing the mental breakdown of the Palin-bots playing out in real time.

When she breaks the bad news about not running for President to them, they are going to lose their shit!
