Interview and Giveaway with Megan Hart!

Hello Maidens!!!  We are soooo very excited right now to have author Megan Hart taking part in our Burning Up July erotica event!  I've been a huge fan of her work for years now, and this might be totally biased as I think she can do no wrong, but I love all her books!  She manages to make her stories come to life, the characters are deep, the stories are emotional, raw and real.  Under The Covers had the opportunity to ask her a bit about her work so please help us welcome today the wonderful Megan Hart.

UTC: Ms. Hart thank you so much for stopping by today.  Who is your role model?

That's an interesting question. Honestly, I don't have a role model. I have many people I admire for many reasons, but not one person I could point to and say "role model." I guess I make my own role?

UTC: What is the most fearless thing you've ever done?

I can't think of anything I've ever done without some measure of fear or at the very least, caution. Well, I dance pretty fearlessly. And sing karaoke.

UTC: LOL, fearless dancing. What do you love the most about writing?

Making stuff up!

UTC: I know you love to write to music, what's on your playlist right now?

Right this very second as I'm answering this question, it's "Blow" by Ke$ha. A minute ago it was Ocean by Casey Stratton.

UTC: Which of your characters was your favorite to write?

Elle from Dirty holds a special place in my heart. So does Alex Kennedy.

UTC: Oh Alex Kennedy! *swoons* Your book "Precious and Fragile Things" is somewhat of a detour in what you seems to normally write. Do you plan to write more books in this genre?

Actually, it's not a detour at all -- I wrote Precious and Fragile Things long, long before I wrote any of the other books most readers would be familiar with. It just took a lot longer to find a home. I have another MIRA release scheduled for 2012 called All Fall Down. It's not much like Precious and Fragile Things, but it's not erotic or a romance, so yes, I will be writing more books that aren't romance or erotic! And I've written some science fiction and a very odd women's fiction novel about a woman who was raised as a feral child, and I also write Young Adult horror/fantasy/dystopian fiction under a different name.

UTC: Maidens, make sure you check out Hart's other books! What was your inspiration to write the Order of Solace series?

Hmm. It's been so long since I started that series, I can't recall what, exactly, started it. I suppose my inspiration was a sullen, damaged hero and a woman who's purpose was to heal him.

UTC: What can we expect from the new Order of Solace book coming out, Virtue and Vice?

Virtue and Vice is about a Handmaiden coming to serve a young king with whom she'd previously had a...well, not a relationship, but an interlude. It's been years since she met him, but she's never forgotten him. Returning to her home land to serve him brings her back in touch with her former lover, as well, who's now the King's Lion. With the possibility of war on the horizon, Demi has to not only help her patron find his solace, she has to deal with her former lover's insistence she use her skills to lead the king toward some political decisions she wants nothing to do with.

UTC: I was surprised to see a writer show the not-so-nice side of a real life threesome, and how things can get messy when feelings become involved. Did you have a plan for Naked when you originally wrote Tempted, so you knew where the story would end up going?

I had no plans for a sequel for Tempted, but I loved writing about Alex Kennedy so much that I didn't want to let him go. But it took some time to figure out what sort of woman would end up with him for good. Also, the Alex in Tempted is NOT the same man in Naked...he's grown and changed a lot because of what happened to him that summer with Anne and Jamie, and he's now ready to make a new start.

UTC: And I definetely can't complain about getting more of Alex!  Also from Tempted, will there ever be a possibility that you'll write Claire's story?

I'd love to! Claire and Dean would have a great story, I think.

UTC: I know you've written some sci-fi romance, have you ever considered writing anything paranormal romance? What would be your choice? Vampires, demons, shifters, or something else entirely?

I've written quite a bit of fantasy and paranormal. Deeper's an erotic paranormal. My upcoming release is a time travel paranormal. I have other stories too. I like vampires and werewolves as villains. I *love* demons and angels and have a book I love to death about angels and demons but it's not finished and hasn't been published. It's not a romance, either. I'd still like to finish it someday.

UTC: I had the opportunity to go to Harrisburg, PA twice in the past 2 years, after reading your novels, which you usually base there, and the whole time I was expecting Alex to pop out of somewhere at me and sweep me away. Why did you pick Harrisburg as the setting for most of your novels?

I lived in Harrisburg for a short time and have spent most of my life living very close to it.

UTC: I know you've written two books together, each of you handling a different couple in the story, how was it like collaborating with Lauren Dane?

Writing with Lauren was a blast and I'm only sad our personal schedules aren't allowing us to collaborate more.

I know you'll be away when we get to post this interview but what do you want to say to our readers who've been devoted fans of yours:

THANK YOU FOR READING! Thank you, thank you. I appreciate it so much! Without readers, there's no point in writing!

Review: Tempted by Megan Hart

Tempted
by Megan Hart
Erotica Romance

Menages can be the hottest experience, but when emotions become involved you could be in for more than you bargained for!

James is happily married to Ann, he's a successful businessman, they have a beautiful house, loving family, no kids yet. But he has a small secret. His best friend Alex. They were best friends growing up, James always the good boy, Alex ALWAYS the bad one. The bad influence, the misfit, the guy who liked boys? Their relationship was always very close until Alex moved away. And James has never mentioned him to his wife Ann. Until Alex decides to come back to town for business.

He ends up staying with James and Ann, all alone, with a scrumptiously hot, and extremely bad boy who is still in love with James, and might be falling for his wife. And when things start heating up between these three, there's no stopping them. And when I say heating up, I mean someone dump me in a bathtub of cold water.

Alex is one of my favorite bad boys ever. Sexy, charismatic, flirtatious, and did I mention he is in love with James? Even though James has always been afraid of that attraction, he feels it too. And the emotional rollercoaster all three of them embark will leave you breathless and panting, laughing and crying.

The characters are engaging, the eroticism jumps off the page and grabs you, and you become complete and absolutely involved in their lives.

This is Hart at her best in my opinion. I was right along with them every step of the way, and it felt SO REAL, masterfully described and developed. And in good Hart fashion, yes, by the end of this book, there was no stopping the tears streaming down my face, and the sniffling. So if you are ready to be completely turned down, ready to fall in love with the most perfect man you'll ever meet, and ready to have your world rocked, then you have to pick up this book!

Review: Naughty and Nice by Megan Hart, Jaci Burton, Lauren Dane & Shannon Stacey

Naughty and Nice
By Megan Hart, Jaci Burton, Lauren Dane & Shannon Stacey
Anthology/Erotica Romance

Over all about 3.5 feathers

I picked up this book because it had short stories by three of my favorite authors and it's Holiday themed, gotta have at least one of those in December.

I will give this book an overall 3.5 Stars. It was a pretty light read for the most part. 2 stories are stand-alone and 2 stories you really should read the previous books or you won't enjoy where they are going as much as you should.

And I actually ended up finding an author I wouldn't mind reading more of (Shannon Stacey). So onto my individual reviews.

Unwrapped by Megan Hart

I was a bit disappointed after reading this story. You definitely have to read Taking Care of Business and No Reservations in order to understand where this story is coming from. However, even after reading those two stories, and I enjoyed them and liked the characters, I couldn't get into this story.

Brandon and Leah have a bit of a kinky relationship, normally, but she is usually the more dominant in the bedroom, and he is happy to submit to her and her desires. Now, they've been together for a while, and this is their first Christmas together. But being that Leah is not much into mushy family togetherness they go away on a holiday trip, just the two of them, cabin in a sky resort. You know, meant to be romantic.

There's a bit of drama of her fall which seem to take up extra pages and was unnecessary, and then the fact that she didn't want to spend Christmas with family but all of a sudden she did was strange. And I just didn't like how Leah was taking Brandon for granted in general! He is such a good guy and constantly has to put up with her issues.

I guess I had expectations from this story that I didn't see developed here.

Believe by Lauren Dane

You NEED to read Second Chances before you read this story. Only then will you be able to really appreciate it.
This is the perfect ending to the story between Jude and Rori. Definitely the connection I thought was missing at the ending of Second Chances was expressed in this short story. I can almost say it was back to how things were in the beginning of their relationship! Yay!

Very sexy, still manages to be very emotional, and even in just a few pages we get to be inside the heads and hearts of so many people.

Still a bit kinky, and very sexy. You'll like these characters. If you pick it up without reading the first book, maybe not so great.

All She Wants For Christmas by Jaci Burton

Cute stand-alone story. Small town girl who grew up in foster homes runs away at 18 after finding her boyfriend in bed with her best friend. She goes on to becoming a successful country singer. After 10 years she comes back to her hometown as part of a biography video. She comes back to finding her ex-boyfriend had married her best friend, had a kid with her who was now 7 years old and her best friend had died 4 years ago. After the story goes about half way we realize how she found them in bed together was all a setup by her best friend, who had always been jealous of her, and he may or may not have slept with her then, but now they can have a second chance to have a life together. I just couldn't get past the fact her name was Riley Jensen, LOL Just too close to the vampire/werewolf Guardian in Keri Arhur's series.

Holiday Sparks by Shannon Stacey

Cute story. Stand-alone. Hot electrician, used to be the school's geek back in high school. The cheerleader he used to drool over is back in town to spend Christmas with her parents, and is waiting at their house for them to come home from vacation. While there she discovers their house needs a major electrical upgrade and calls Scott in from the phone book. She can't remember him, because obviously he has changed and is now a hottie. He still drools over her. They decide to have a holiday fling while he's fixing her parents wiring and end up wanting a relationship (after just three weeks).

Review: Collide by Megan Hart

Collide
By Megan Hart
Erotica Romance

This will be a difficult book for me to review. Let me start off by saying Megan Hart just has a beautiful way with words and a great way of telling a story. Now this story was actually very different and original for me.

Now after all that, I was a bit disappointed with the beginning of this book, it felt a little slow to get going for me.

First of all I started reading this book thinking I might not like it too much because of the time travel aspect. I felt that after reading the blurb this might be a little like Deeper which was not one of my favorite Hart books (even though I know some people loved it). So, as far as that aspect of the story is concerned I was pleasantly surprised. I think Ms. Hart was able to create a time travel scenario that's very original and well executed in my opinion.

I'll give you a quick glimpse of what's going on... We first meet Emmaline, she's a 32 year old woman who just recently left her parents home (in the suburbs) to live on her own in the city (Harrisburg). She has had a condition from when she was a child that makes her have sort of blackouts. She was doing fine for a while, even venturing out on her own now, except they're now coming back.

And all in part because of Johnny Dellasandro. She had met ..... at "Cafe Mocha" in Harrisburg, her one and only new friend in town, who introduces her to her almost unhealthy obsession with Johnny. He is now 57, but in the 70's he used to be a HOT indie actor, and in most of thost movies he was practically naked.

As her obsession with Johnny and his movies grows, she starts having blackouts where she actually experiences what she thinks of as dreams, where Johnny is the star, and she is his heroine. She visits him in the 70's and all her inhibitions go out of the window since this is just a dream, right?

But are they dreams caused by her condition and the crazy amount of hours she spends googling his pictures and watching his movies, or is it all really happening?

Johnny then was amazing. I could've fallen in love with him just then. The bad boy, so sure of himself, with the sexy New York accent, gorgeous body and many talents. I just wanted his today version to be nicer at the beginning. I understood why he acted the way he did at the beginning afterwards, but still I thought he was a douche for a little bit. However, he is one sexy ass and sweet older man, as well as a hot young stud. I loved seeing both personalities played in this book and how he matured and changed.

I liked the heroine, Emmaline. I really did feel bad for how she's had to live and the struggles in her life. I could imagine that it would be a very stressful situation to black out and not know the reason behind them or what's happening to your own body or health. She was a pretty fun character as well. I loved her interactions with her friend, ...... In that way they were both very relatable characters and they had me laughing out loud.

And I did cry at the end. Call me stupid, whatever! I cried when her mother told her how she got her name; I cried when she had her last black out; I cried when present day Johnny explained to her the truth about his past. I almost want to cry again now writing about it.

This book was erotic, but it tells a story of a life that's not sugar-coated. This is usually what Ms. Hart does best. Emmaline had issues because of her condition, even with her relationship with her parents. Johnny and his friends in the 70's obviously had issues (drugs, promiscuity). Johnny was no saint, and there's the issue with him having kids that are all older than Emmaline. I liked it a lot at times and at others I was just okay with it. I think especially the last 25% of the book was really good. So even though I can't say it's a favorite book of mine by this author, it's definetely worth your time to read it!

Review: Naked by Megan Hart

Naked
by Megan Hart
Erotica Romance

I feel like I've waited forever to read Alex's story!!! I loved his character in Tempted, I fell in love with him, flaws and all, and I wanted to see him get his HEA. This was a great story all around by Ms. Hart, even though not as emotionally draining perhaps as I was expecting from her.

Alex Kennedy... where do I start? He is a tormented bad boy, he's struggled with who he was, with his family and how they view him, how he interacts with others, and his sexuality his whole life.

Olivia has struggled with her life for a while now as well. She is a black woman, adopted by white parents, who are now divorced. Her relationship with her fiance, Patrick, ended when she found out he was gay. But they've managed to still stay friends, even though she still has feelings for him. Does that just make her pathetic to be around him when he's out with other guys? Maybe. But she still attends a party at his house. Except at the party she only has eyes for Patrick's new friend Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome, Alex Kennedy himself... Who is he? Patrick tells her to stay away from Alex, but the sex appeal that comes off him in waves calls to her. And it doesn't help that she actually finds him with a guy in the porch getting a blow job, and looking sexy as hell. She wants to be the one on her knees for him and the one to bring him pleasure.

Turns out he needs a place to live while staying in town for business, and she has a room she can rent! So he moves right in! Their relationship slowly develops. Her history with being with a guy who liked other guys may have hurt her, and she should stay away, but Alex is a complete flirt and seduces her.

I absolutely loved all the sexy scenes with the camera. She's a photographer/web designer, and when she gets him to pose for her in her "office/studio" was SOOOO HOT.

I think Olivia is actually a good match for Alex. I think Ms. Hart always manages to write about very touchy subjects and do it perfectly. In this story we deal with Alex still not being 100% sure about his sexuality and what he wants, and how Olivia will deal with it. At the same time, the social pressures faced by an interracial couple.

I had a problem with how James and Ann were approached in this story. I didn't like the fact that Alex hadn't come clean to Olivia about his relationship with both of them and his feelings for both of them before bringing her to their house and she had to figure it out on her own. Not cool Alex! And then he goes and acts like a moron when he's around James!

The whole drama with Alex's family was heart breaking and hard. I do think, as a lot of other reviewers have said, that the ending was a bit abrupt, it seemed like we were missing at least a chapter! It leaves you wondering if there really could be a Happily Ever After for them. There are still a lot of unresolved issues for both of them personally, and as a couple.

Review: Dirty by Megan Hart

Dirty
by Megan Hart
Erotica Romance

This is the first book I’ve read by Megan Hart and I can officially say that I am a big fan of hers. Dirty is beauty in its simplest form. Megan has a distinct writing style that is both very simple and yet engaging. I loved it! But I think the real reason why her books have become such precious gems to her fans is because she puts so much heart into one little book! It’s kind of ironic that her pen name is Megan Hart. It’s fitting and lovely, just like her writing.

This book was such an emotional journey and although I didn’t exactly cry, there were plenty of moments in this book that broke my heart. I loved the subplot with Gavin and his relationship with her. It added another layer to an already complex storyline.

I don’t usually enjoy first person POV because I feel like there’s too much ruminating. But Elle’s perspective worked for me. However, there was one thing that irritated be a little bit and it had to do with some of the dialogue. Like the rest of Hart’s writing, it’s simple and straight to the point where a conversation usually consists of one word responses. Sometimes I wished they were more articulate because I was dying for Dan and Elle to communicate more in their relationship. But again, that had to do with Elle’s past and her reserved personality.

When she finally spills her darkest secrets to Dan, it’s through a monologue and I wished that we could read about Dan’s reaction to her confession. I knew Dan would have said the right things to make her feel better. He was the perfect hero. And if Elle was Princess Pennywhistle, Dan would be her prince, one whose armour wouldn’t tarnish, as Elle had learned when she was younger. I loved that Dan knew exactly what he wanted in the relationship, never pushing Elle too hard and never confusing her with mixed feelings. He was simply amazing.

This book was fantastic! Hart somehow manages to incorporate real life issues and still have that spark of humour and love. I don’t think I can decide on which book of hers to read next!

Review: Three to Tango by Lauren Dane, Megan Hart, Emma Holly and Bethany Kane

Three to Tango
by Lauren Dane, Megan Hart, Emma Holly and Bethany Kane
Erotica

In case you couldn't tell by the name.... this book is basically four short stories that revolved around a menage, or at the very least 3 people in one way or another. Let me give you a quick warning so this doesn't happen to you.

Do not try to read this book while at work! You might not be able to cover up the blushing, sometimes moaning, and other reactions your body won't be able to help!

dirty/bad/wrong by Lauren Dane - 4 Feathers

I wish this would've been a whole book, it was a great story! Ava comes from the wrong side of town, her mother was a hot mess her whole life, her step dad used to beat her, and she was always under the town's scrutiny for her mother's errors. After she graduated she couldn't take the town anymore and left her sweet little town of Petal, GA and moved to LA in search of a better future. Before she left though, she had a hot torrid affair with Luca, and almost by accident, Angelo, Luca's best friend. Angelo had a crush on her since forever so he jumped at the opportunity even though she was his best friends girl, and realized he also had other feelings for his buddy in a totally unexpected way. She left them both without looking back. Now after 10 years, and after she's made something of herself, she has to come back to GA to bury her mother. And the first person she sees is Luca! Sparks fly almost instantly, and when he offers her to stay at his house while she's in town, she can't refuse. They rekindled their relationship almost immediately. And can I just say it was hot and then hotter! Once Angelo comes (being summoned there by Luca) they all realize what they had together (yes all 3) was worth fighting for it now. If you are uncomfortable with m/m, I'll warn you that Luca and Angelo do have some m/m loving in this one, although it's pretty light (and hot!) You just can't help but wish you were her! Excellent story! And on a side note, I have a feeling this might be related, or in the same world as, the Chase Brothers series by Ms. Dane. Is it? I gotta get started reading those!

Just One Night by Megan Hart - 5 Feathers

This story was weird and sexy at the same time. Kerry has been dating Jeremy for a while, they actually live together. They have an ok relationship, if not the best. Then Kerry's high school reunion comes around, and Jeremy won't go with her. Instead he wants her to get something she's always wanted. To have sex with Brian, her high school crush. And then come home and tell him all about it. Sound kinky enough? This is the first time Jeremy has brought up this sort of kink, and she's not sure how to feel about it. But she takes full advantage of the opportunity. After all, she's wanted Brian for too long. They have one really hot, steamy night together. But Brian wants more! Of course he wasn't aware that she was someone else's. Does it make him a total douche if he can't stay away? She's been his dream fantasy girl, and he can't get enough with just one time. They have an affair all the while Jeremy being aware of it, and Brian knowing that after she's with him, she goes home to Jeremy's bed. But after two extremely hot weeks he realizes he can't share her. He wants her too much and it's tearing him apart to know she's not his. But will Kerry let him go so easily?

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly - 3.5 Feathers

This was my first read by this author and I was actually pleasantly surprised. This was an excellent erotica read, but it fell a little short for me in the storyline and character development. HOT? Absolutely, from the beginning. Shay was kind of adopted by Liam's family when he was a little boy, so they've grown up as brothers, Liam being the older one, and Shay being totally in awe of him. Chelsea was the girl next door they both wanted. And all three of them grew up as best friends. Shay wasn't aware that Chelsea and Liam had been fooling around until the night before she has to go away to college, when she comes over and they start making out in front of him. Shay somehow joins in the fun with the two of them, and *fans self* IT'S TOO HOT TO HANDLE! Until he makes the mistake of touching Liam. This is the moment that ruins the chemistry for all 3, Chelsea goes on to college, Shay moves away to Boston and Liam stays in New York. Fast forward to current times, Chelsea is back in NY. She's tried having a relationship with Liam a few times but it never worked out. Now she's hired him for one of her construction jobs. But he wants her back, and forever. But Chelsea can't give him forever because she knows she can't give him all of her, half her heart will always belong to Shay, she just wants them both. So what could happen if Shay comes back from Boston? And how would Liam react now that he's older? The end was a bit unrealistic for me, in regards to Liam's attitude and decisions. Which is in big part what ruined the story for me. But the eroticism stayed SCORCHINGLY HOT until the end. And oh yes, another warning for m/m this one's a bit SEXIER and HOTTER than the first story.

On The Job by Bethany Kane - 3.5 Feathers

Another first time author read for me. I do like her writing style, and this story was also extremely hot, but it was my least favorite of the three. This is almost a romantic suspense. Walker and Madeline used to date years ago, while Tony was in love with Madeline and she only saw him as a friend. But Walker left town, and left Madeline. He wanted to do something with his life, so he could come back and offer Madeline a better future. He joined the military, and is now working with the secret service. This now puts him in direct contact with Madeline and Tony again. Tony is the owner of a huge security company, and is believed to be dealing information with the Russians. He is also supposed to be engaged to Madeline. Walker is assigned to the case and is put in the house as a private security consultant to keep them safe. I did not like the fact that since Walker and Madeline never had sex before, within the first moments of the story he picks her up from her chair while sunbathing, and teasing the hell out of him, drags her to the pool house, handcuffs her to a bar in the ceiling and has sex with her. Really? After all these years, and the "love" you have for her, that how's you treat her??? Not to mention it was hot as hell, but that's besides the point. I did not like Walker much, he was too arrogant, and only saw it his way most of the time. And this story is really the 2 of them as a couple. Tony was really not engaged to Madeline, even though he wanted to. There is a WEIRD moment between the three of them at the end, which I thought was totally unnecessary. But I will check out more books by this author for sure!!!

Review: Indecent Experiment by Megan Hart

Indecent Experiment

by Megan Hart
Erotica
Find it on GoodReads!

Have you ever wondered what goes on at those psych experiment places? Well for Melissa and Matt it all came down to money. She needed money to pay her bills. He needed money to go with his buddies to Cancun. And $1,000 offered to participate in a week-long psych experiment was too hard to resist. And all they had to do was spend time with someone chosen by the psychologists to see analyze the reasons why you would have sex with a person.

They were first interviewed and asked for their perfect partner requests. Of course they got the complete opposite!! They are not each others first pick in looks and personality. But first impressions aren't always the best way to judge a person are they? As they spend more time together and follow the simple requests and instructions of the experiment they realize that they like each other a lot more than they expected.

But it will all come down to the end of that week. What will they decide? Are they going to have sex or not?

I really enjoyed this story. The characters seemed very real, and likeable, and even though this was a pretty quick read, it was definitely entertaining.

My favorite quote:
"We just want to find out how long it takes you guys to decide if you'd like to bang like a screen door in a hurricane."

I didn't think he wanted me. And I wasn't about to get involved with him, not after what I'd heard. Sure, Alex Kennedy was tall, dark and unbearably hot, but I've been burned before. When I solicited him to model for my erotic photography book, I didn't expect such a heated, passionate photo session. And now that we've crossed that line, our bodies aren't the only things that have been exposed.

But I can't give my heart to a man who's so… unconventional. His last sexual relationship was with a married couple. It's enough that my ex-fiancĂ© preferred men, I can't take that chance again no matter how much my body thrives on Alex's touch. I can't risk it, but I can't resist it, either.

Alex can be very convincing when he wants something.

And he wants me.

Review: Seeing Stars by Megan Hart

Seeing Stars
by Megan Hart
Erotica Romance

This is another book that gets reissued. Previously released as "Anything You Want", with a not so appealing cover then, "Seeing Stars" is a sci-fi romance set in the same world as a previous book I've read by Ms. Hart, Passion Model.

This short story is a great escape from your normal reading, it's totally different. Humans and robots are part of our world. We have the Pleasurebots, which are human-looking robots created to pleasure men or women, and they come in all sorts of Models. The terminology in this book will have you laughing, everytime I saw the model names for the pleasurebots (COK, DIK, STUD) I had to laugh. And speaking of terminology, how about the lotion to rub on your body to enhance sexual pleasure called "Arous-All"? Loved it!

Then we still have humans who live in different worlds, and in this book one human woman, Milla, who comes from a very conservative and old fashioned world, is traveling aboard the Pleasure Princess ship to leave behind a life with her ex-husband who didn't understand her, and go to the more liberal planets and start over. Except she has a problem, she's never been able to come with someone else. So she decides to get herself a pleasurebot while on the ship, knowing this might be her last chance to experience it. But what she gets is Jarden, mostly human, but part "repaired parts", which makes him a "mecho", and mechos are the lowest class citizens. But he can show her pleasure and only he can give her anything she wants.

This book is really hot, funny at times, and a quick read to get your mind away from anything else. Definitely give it a try!

Review: Friendly Fire by Megan Hart

OLD                                                    NEW

Friendly Fire
by Megan Hart
Erotica Romance

OK, wow, you can really read this in one sitting! This book is pretty steamy, but it just wasn't long enough.

The first thing I HAVE to mention is, thank God this got re-issued, because by looking at the previous cover I might have not been in such a rush to read it! So two thumbs up on going with the hot guy at the beach.

OK, so Kendall is a DEA agent, her partner recently got killed during friendly fire (he jumped in front of a bullet, by accident, while on an investigation). She has blamed, and hated the agent that shot that bullet and accidentally killed him, Zane Vincent.

Somehow a big "company outing" is organized for everyone involved to get some therapy and relaxation and they go to a beautiful island for a week-long getaway.

Kendall can't stand the fact that she has to be around Vincent, made all the worst when he was moved in to the room next to hers (in a secluded private cabin). Of course their first encounter at the cabin couldn't have been more awkward. She thought she was all alone, had been getting busy in the shower without finding release, then goes outside in just a towel and tries to finish up the job, except she notices too late that he was outside smoking a cigarette and when she's face to face with him is exactly the moment she finally climaxes! WHAT?? I had to read more!

These two have pretty good chemistry, I guess there was an attraction on his part before this, because he went after her very straightforward, and as with a lot of Hart's heroines, she gives as good as she gets.

If you get a chance you have to read this! It's short, it's hot, it's sexy, it's Hart!
