If people will not go to see Sarah Palin's film "The Undefeated" in theaters, then they will just have to take the propaganda to them.

From Fox Nation:

ARC Entertainment, the distributor of “The Undefeated,” the film about Gov. Sarah Palin’s rise from obscurity to national prominence, announced today that beginning on September 1st the film will be available to 75 million homes via Video on Demand and Pay-Per-View access through national and regional cable and satellite operators. The DVD will launch on October 4th and will be available at traditional and online retailers nationwide. ARC is estimating its initial unit shipment to be approximately 250,000 units. A “Special Edition” DVD will contain additional new content and will only be sold in Walmart stores. ARC will continue to expand the limited engagement theatrical release nationwide throughout August and September as demand across the country remains high.

Trevor Drinkwater, CEO of ARC Entertainment, said, “Since the film opened in select markets across the country on July 15th we have been inundated with requests from people wanting the film to be made available in their market. After methodically analyzing the most effective ways to bring this galvanizing film to the widest audience as soon as possible we have determined that continued limited theatrical distribution, Video-on-Demand, Pay-Per-View and DVD sales will be the best modalities by which to deliver this film as widely as possible. We have created partnerships with national cable, satellite and mass retailers to achieve our distribution goals.”

"Inundated with requests" from people wanting to see this film?  Really?

The Undefeated, the much-hyped Palin documentary, bombed during its second week in theaters, bringing in just $24,000 in ticket sales across 14 screens. The movie’s per theater average, touted as a relative bright spot by promoters, plummeted from $6,513 to $1,713, according to estimates by the industry website Box Office Mojo.

Essentially "The Undefeated" is demonstrating the irony of its name by plummeting even faster than Palin's Presidential possibilities, having added four new theaters this weekend but still losing 63.2% of its ticket buyers. That is not just a defeat, that is an obliteration!

However like any good Palin-bot this dose of reality has not managed to pierce the rose colored fantasy world that apparently envelops directer Stephen Bannon:

Filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon stated, “Given the strong audience reaction we have determined there is overwhelming demand for us to get this film out broadly enough to cover the entire nation in September and October. In a 90-day period from August to November we will be able to effectively cover the nation through multiple distribution modalities.”

You know if I were the cynical sort I might think that Bannon was in a state of panic, and desperately trying to find some new venues to hawk this stinker before he  loses his shirt and forever destroys his reputation due to this albatross of a film.

You know, if I were the cynical sort that is.

The smell of Palin-bot desperation.

Courtesy of Indiana's Channel 4:

While Steve Bannon's documentary, "Undefeated", opened in Indianapolis Friday to a very small audience, its viewers were still enthusiastic.

"We just love Sarah Palin. We think she's a great politician and so we want to see it," said Nancy Pemberton of Indianapolis.

Pemberton was one of a dozen people filing into the AMC Showcase theater on South Meridian Friday afternoon

"We thought she was a great vice presidential candidate and it was just terrible how they had to pull personal issues in that really had nothing to do with being a vice president," said Ron Pemberton of Indianapolis.

Speaking of presidential campaigns, we asked Bannon if his documentary and its timely release was a way to persuade the Republican to throw her hat in the ring.

"I think that will have some element of how much she will get back into elective politics," he said.

Well the possibility that the success of this pathetic piece of propaganda will somehow convince Palin to jump into the 2012 Presidential race, has Palin-bots clinging to it like rats clinging to the last floating sea water saturated life preserver from the Titanic.

In an effort to make all of their "President Palin" wet dreams come true, her supporters have labeled themselves "Mobilizers" and have sent out the following e-mail message to direct their fellow Palin Kool-aid drinkers to pimp this film like crazy before the theater owners yank it out to free up another screen to show the amazingly popular "Harry Potter" movie.

Wow! If the opportunity to be referred to as a "Killer Whale" does not inspire an elderly woman to buy out an entire showing of this film, than I just don't know what would!

Jesus what is wrong with these people?

I have a couple of follow up questions.

Has any other political prick tease EVER asked their supporters to humiliate themselves in this fashion before?

Or asked them to almost literally spend every dime of their meager income in order to line their idol's pockets in such a blatant, and selfish manner?

In other words is Sarah Palin, as I am coming to believe she must be, the most disgusting political grifter in the history of America?

Palin propaganda might sell out in Texas, but in Orange County the movie opens to an empty theater.

Atlantic associate editor Conor Friedersdorf arrived in Orange County for the midnight showing of the Sarah Palin homage "The Undefeated."

Here is his report:

When the clock struck 12:01 am today, AMC theaters in select cities were permitted to start showing "The Undefeated," a feature length documentary about Sarah Palin. As it happens, I'm visiting my parents in Orange County, Calif., home to one of just 10 theaters where the film is being rolled out. Watching it didn't interest me so much as going to interview folks who decided to attend. I figured I'd meet some nice people, perhaps run into someone who knows my grandparents, press five or six Palin fans on why they like her, and convey their worldview. It's my experience that the grassroots doesn't fit the caricature of its champions or its detractors.

At first Friedersdorf believes he has arrived too late to get a good seat because he sees throngs of people lined up at the theaters.  But then he remembers that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part Two" is also playing.

As it turns out his concerns about not finding a good seat were completely unfounded.

It isn't strictly accurate to say that I sat through the whole movie alone. Just as the previews started, two young women walked in giggling together and took seats three rows behind me. Afraid that they'd ruined the only story I had at that point -- What If Sarah Palin Starred in a Movie and No One Showed Up? -- I hoped they'd at least oblige me with an interview, and so they did.

Jamie Watkins, 22, is a Missouri native, which qualifies her as a real American. She only recently moved to Southern California, and her little sister, Jessie, age 18, was visiting for the first time.
"So, um, what made you come out here tonight?"

"We're going to Disneyland tomorrow," Jamie said, "but she just got here, so we decided we should go out."

"We looked online for the latest movie playing," Jessie added. "But all the Harry Potters were sold out, and then we saw 'The Undeafeated.' We don't even actually know what we're seeing."

"Well welcome to California," I said. "You're about to see a documentary about Sarah Palin."

"Oh, really?" they said, and started giggling again. I think they were expecting an action flick. When I returned to my seat, I thought maybe I'd talk to them after the movie, and get the perspective of two people who went in with no expectations. But they only lasted 20 minutes before walking out.

After that, it is strictly accurate to say that the theater was empty, except for me. On screen there were clips of a younger Sarah Palin helping to reform Alaskan governance. "In politics, you're either eating well or sleeping well," she said. I jotted this down: "And which of those are you doing now?"

Shortly before the end of the film, a young couple entered, walked to the back row, started making out, then interrupted their session and left (spoiler alert) as Andrew Breitbart, who made one of several guest appearances, started talking about eunuchs. Then I was alone again, working. Instead of researching civil liberties violations, or the war in Libya, or the contest to elect the next president of the United States, I was both a journalist and the only member of the public willfully paying attention to Sarah Palin, as if standing in for the pathologies of my profession.

Afterward, I found a theater manager, told him I was a reporter, and asked if he could give me numbers about ticket sales. "Did anyone pay and not show up?" He said that they'd sold out all the Harry Potter movies until 2 a.m., and that all 5,000 seats looked full. "No," I said, "I saw the Sarah Palin movie. Do you know the figures for that one?"

"Oh," he said, "I can't release sales figures."

Oh well, this probably doesn't mean anything right?  After all only very young people, with actual lives, go to a midnight showing of a new release.

I am sure that today the target audience for this movie will awaken early, take their Metamucil before heading off to Denny's for the "Early Bird Special," after which they will ride their scooter from the "Scooter Store" over to the local AMC, buy a ticket (making sure to get their senior discount), and after parking their scooter in the handicapped space five rows from the front and getting the valve on their oxygen tank adjusted perfectly, will sit back to enjoy watching the Nazi inspired Sarah Palin propaganda film, before nodding off halfway through the coming attractions and missing the entire thing.

Palin propaganda film sells out in Grapevine, Texas. That might be impressive if anybody had ever HEARD of Grapevine, Texas.

Courtesy of Reuters:

"The Undefeated," a glowing look at failed vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has already sold out a show in Grapevine, Texas (population 46,000), according to the distributor Cinedigm.

Grapevine isn't exactly a teeming metropolis but the film is set to roll out across Tea Party country in 10 AMC theaters.

In addition to Grapevine, the documentary by conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon will expand to Indianapolis, Ind.; Independence, Mo.; Kennesaw, Ga.; Houston, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Highlands Ranch, Colo.; Phoenix, Ariz.; and Orange, Calif.

The film opens tomorrow if anybody is looking for an accidental comedy, an opportunity to be surrounded by assholes, or a cure for insomnia.

Currently the website Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 0%, which means that of the eight people who have seen this cinematic beatification of Sarah Palin, ALL of them gave it a "rotten" rating, but ONLY because that is the lowest rating available on the website.

Below is a screenshot featuring the professional film critics who were subjected to this celluloid abortion because their jobs demanded it of them. I figured their opinion of the movie was worth noting.

I captured this screenshot because, as we all know, the minute this post goes up Rotten Tomatoes will be inundated with positive reviews of this "film" by Palin-bots, the majority of who have not yet even seen the movie.

As revealed in Frank Bailey's book, THAT is how Palin and her supporters handle bad, or negative, press, by hijacking the polls or attacking the critics, or both.

Still I am more than positive that nothing they can do will save this clunker from joining films like "Ishtar," "Battlefield Earth," and "Freddy got Fingered" as one of the worst films of all time.

Since we are on the topic of Palin failings, I should also inform you that all of that talk by her sycophants of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" possibly earning an Emmy turned out to be bullshit as well:

Outstanding Reality Show
The Amazing Race
American Idol
Dancing With the Stars
Project Runway
So You Think You Can Dance
Top Chef

However as kind of a booby prize it looks like Bristol's complete lack of rhythm, poor work ethic, and bizarre weight gain did not keep DWTS from getting nominated. So that should make the Grizzled Mama feel better right?

Ah, who are we kidding? That bitch only cares about one person, and that person is HER!

The director of Sarah Palin's film "The Undefeated" studied Nazi and Soviet propaganda filmmakers. Ahh, now it all makes sense!

Courtesy of the Wall Street Journal:

People have said I’m like Leni Riefenstahl. I’ve studied documentarians extensively to come up with my own in-house style. I’m a student of Michael Moore’s films, of Eisenstein, Riefenstahl. Leave the politics aside, you have to learn from those past masters on how they were trying to communicate their ideas.

Leni Reifenstahl was Adolph Hitler's favorite filmmaker, while Sergei Eisenstein made numerous propaganda films in Soviet Russia and his film "Ivan the Terrible, Part 1" made him a national hero of the USSR, and won him favor from Joseph Stalin himself.

So let me see if I have this straight.  The guy who made the documentary designed to sell the REAL Sarah Palin to the American people, admittedly received his inspiration from studying propaganda filmmakers from both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

Have I got that right?

You just can't make this stuff up folks.

Teabaggers say "screw you" to Hollywood with their high production values, good writing, and talented actors. And make their OWN movies without high production values, good writing, or talented actors. Good plan!

From the Hollywood Reporter:

Those who belong to the conservative movement known as the Tea Party are acutely aware of the power of popular culture, so they have been cautiously delving into the creation of entertainment that promotes their values. It usually manifests itself in snippets of online political parody. Coming Sunday, though, is perhaps the most ambitious effort yet: A “TV show” created by a couple of Tea Partiers who have formed their own production company.

The one-hour drama is called Courage, New Hampshire, and it premiers Sunday at a movie theater in Monrovia, Calif. Co-hosting the red carpet activities are Saturday Night Live alumna Victoria Jackson and radio personality Tony Katz, both of whom regularly speak at Tea Party rallies.

Courage has the pacing and feel of a soap opera, though its set in Colonial America. While its creators are making it as a TV show, there’s no distribution partner, so it’s going straight to DVD after the premiere. The company, Colony Bay, is also trying to strike deals with conservative online TV outlets, like Glenn Beck’s GBTV and Kelsey Grammer’s Right Network, and are seeking a television VOD partner.

In other words nobody will touch this pile of festering pigshit with a ten foot pole, but hell let's just put it on DVD anyway!

You may think you are capable of visualizing just how bad this Colonial American "soap opera" is, but you really have no idea.  Here is just a sample.

See?  What did  I tell you?

The first episode of Courage is subtitled “The Travail of Sarah Pine” and stars Alexandra Oliver as a colonial woman who accuses a British soldier of the crime of “bastardy.”

Riley said that realism was paramount because "Hollywood tends to make over the past in its own image – 18th century women become raging feminists; statesmen become agnostics or rakes."
Their goal of accuracy is best reflected during trial scenes that include oratory that might not past muster with your modern-day TV executive.

In other words they took out everything that would  make it accessible to modern audiences and keep them from passing out face first into their popcorn bowls. Brilliant!

The prosecutor, for example, begins the trial with: “Bob Wheedle, he not having the fear of God before his eyes but being moved and seduced by the instigation of the devil in his own wicked heart, did willfully seduce and thereby obtain carnal knowledge of an innocent, chaste girl with promises of marriage -- and he has sired a bastard child born of her body, and now refuses its care.”

I think the above is the Colonial American version of what Bristol claims that Levi did to her in that tent when she was fifteen.  In other words it is poorly written bullshit!

When I first read about this "soap opera" I thought that it MUST be a parody.  But nope, these idiots are serious!

The bad news is that these assholes are trying to rewrite history in the puritanical image of what they want to believe it must have been like.  The good news is that nobody will be able to stay awake long enough for the propaganda to work on them.

Hell, I passed out twice just watching this YouTube video!

Buy Guns and Start Shooting People: American Al-Qaeda Spokesman Calls on Americans to Carry out Random, Lone-Wolf Attacks
In a chilling new video, U.S. born Al-Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn calls on American Muslims to buy weapons from gun shows and carry out random, lone-wolf attacks.  The video, called ‘Do Not Rely on Others, Take the Task Upon Yourself’, was produced by al Qaeda’s as Sahab media team and shows 32-year-old Gadahn speaking alongside old clips of Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama Bin laden.

"A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a column for the New York Daily News on Al Qaeda's increasing shift in emphasis from bomb-based attacks to guns.  American terrorist Adam Gadahn -- one of AQ's most prominent public faces -- recently put an exclamation point on the trend in a new video released online and excerpted here.  For more on Gadahn read the new book, "Jihad Joe: Americans Who Go to War in the Name of Islam", http://amzn.to/ahwBqH
