Life in Japan; I miss...

Wedding idea: Burgers!

Abby and her fiance wanted a relaxed wedding, so they invited their friends and family over for burgers! "We celebrated at my parents' house in Maine," says Abby. "We ate burgers, sweet-potato fries and salad. For dessert, we served Maine blueberry pie." Isn't that sweet? Would you rather have a casual or formal wedding? I love this idea!

Wow, how's this for a travel fantasy: The Rock Restaurant is an amazing seafood shack perched on a rock in the Indian Ocean. Depending on the tide, you either walk, swim or row a boat to it!

Avocado oil

Whoa! Did you know that you shouldn't saute at high heat with olive oil? It can release toxic smoke above a certain temperature. So, Abbey recommends avocado oil, which works perfectly for high-heat cooking and tastes great on salads.

Fun wine labels

Alex and I had a few people over for wine and cheese last night, and, just as a twist, we made personal wine labels from Pinhole Press. I used a photo of Paris and the words, "Have a magical evening."

P.S. I'd also love to make this next time, haha :)

Au Revoir~

Sorry for being absent for so long, it's been almost a week - shocking~

I spent my weekend mainly visiting art museums and eating in fancy restaurants, which was a lovely way to spend my last weekend in Paris

I only have 4 days left here and although I love it, I am looking forward to being back in England

I have classes until Saturday

and then I have a 'farewell picnic' with my teachers/classmates before I head home in the evening. I'll also be spending my evenings going out with friends etc. so I am afraid you may have to wait a little longer for any substantial posts from me. ごめん！

I also installed a flag counter on the sidebar today. It's super fresh though, so it looks a little bare right now but lets hope that it fills up soon! I love finding out where my readers are visiting from
