'MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY' - EPISODE 9 (Season 1 Finale)

This is the final episode in the first season of Kevin Tancharoen's "Mortal Kombat" web-series. The last two characters featured in the series are Cyrax and Sektor, two ninjas of the Lin Kuei, chosen to take part in a special program meant to turn them into cyborg fighting machines. I can understand why they took this much time to get the episode done. It is spectacular. The cyborgs are done in motion capture and CGI and the fight looks fantastic. Top notch visual effects. The acting and script are just as flat as in previous episodes, but that one last fight more than makes up for it.

Now, it's unclear whether or not there will be a second season to the series. The plans initially intended for the series to also become a big screen movie, but the modest fan enthusiasm may have sealed the fate of the Web Series. Kevin Tancharoen certainly wants to do more, but I'm not sure the bosses over at Warner are going to spend any more time and money on an experiment that can't turn itself into something profitable, seeing as they already cut season 1 down from ten episodes to nine. Below you can find all the episodes in the series.

TWILIGHT: BREAKING FURNITURE - Funny Trailer Review

The trailer for "Breaking Dawn: Part 1", the first part of the final chapter in the Twilight Saga, gets a scathing review by Youtube comedian Shane Dawson, in drag. Of course, Youtube is perhaps not the best of places to find good comedy, but I though this was pretty funny. If you're a big Twilight fan, however, do yourself a favor and skip this clip.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - New Viral Videos, Fan-Made or Not ?

"The Dark Knight Rises" is quickly amping up its publicity campaign, even before the completion of the actual production. A handful of viral videos, supposedly posted by The Fire Rises, the same username that was used in the Twitter viral game that resulted in a picture of Tom Hardy as Bane, have surfaced on YouTube.

Tom Hardy as Bane
The videos (click to read the full article) contain garbled footage and seem to hint at some crazy events occuring in Gotham City. One of them shows a TV broadcast talking about a breakout at Arkham. All videos contain the weird chant that was found on the movie's official site. Word on the street...er, the web, is that these clips are fan-made. There's also a facebook account for The Fire Rises, that sort of looks fake. Initially the name on the user info page was Warner Bros Entertainment, but now it just contains the release date of the movie. You can check out the facebook account for yourself by clicking here. The like count keeps on rising every minute. Whether it's all fake or not, I guess it doesn't even matter. Everybody's interest is piqued, and the buzz is buzzing, so it's win-win for Christopher Nolan. His movie gets more news coverage and that's all that really matters. If you're thinking of checking out the real official websites, here they are :
