Will Elise Neal be the new "Val" as Stacey Dash's Replacement on "Single Ladies"

This is a current rumor floating around so we will see what happens in the new season.  I can't wait to see how they will work all these changes into the new season.

Stacey Dash Leaving Single Ladies for her children

I read a while ago that she was having differences with cast mates particularly Lisa Raye, so I hope that "her children" are the real reason she's leaving the show.  I can understand that I'd do anything for my child.  However I don't understand why she would sign up in the first place for a show taped in Atlanta when her base is in LA. It sucks cause you get used to certain characters and I really liked that role she played.
“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.” [ SOURCE ]
VH1 has also released a statement:
“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

Tyler Perry to get his OWN network with Lionsgate

Lionsgate and Tyler Perry Said to Be in Cable Venture

LOS ANGELES — Lionsgate is betting that Tyler Perry has the star power to carry an entire cable channel, Oprah Winfrey style.
Quantrell Colbert/Lionsgate and TPS
Tyler Perry, left, as Madea, and Ion Overman in the film “Madea Goes to Jail,” which he directed.
That movie studio and Mr. Perry — whose flourishing African-American fan base consistently turns his plays, television shows and films into hits — are forming a new venture called Tyler TV, according to an industry official briefed on the matter who requested anonymity because the plans are private.
The partners will initially stock the channel with reruns of Mr. Perry’s sitcoms and movies, including the popular Madea series, in which he appears in drag as the title character, a gun-toting grandmother. They also plan to buy third-party content that meshes with Mr. Perry’s Christianity-tinged brand.
Lionsgate and Mr. Perry declined to comment.
Tyler TV, which is still a working title, is intended as a home base for the prolific Mr. Perry — just as Ms. Winfrey, one of Mr. Perry’s most ardent supporters, now operates OWN. But as OWN demonstrates, cable plans that seem promising can be tricky. Ms. Winfrey’s channel, a partnership with Discovery Communications, has been a major ratings disappointment.
The days when media companies could easily introduce channels have long passed because of a clogged cable dial and competition from the Web, among other factors. If a television queen like Ms. Winfrey has a difficult time making a go of it, even with the backing of a cable colossus like Discovery, might it seem presumptuous of Lionsgate and Mr. Perry to expect success?
Maybe not. While Ms. Winfrey is reaching for a broad audience, Mr. Perry has always focused on a narrow and loyal niche: African-American women. His fans have a history of following him across the entertainment spectrum. Mr. Perry’s stage performances sell out in minutes. His two TBS comedies, “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns,” have generated solid ratings, and a third series, “For Better or Worse,” will begin in the fall.
And Mr. Perry’s movies, which range from the campy “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” to the highbrow “For Colored Girls,” have sold more than $522 million in tickets. (One hurdle: Since Lionsgate already licenses his films to places like Epix, a fledgling competitor to HBO, they would most likely come to Tyler TV on a delayed basis.)
Lionsgate and Mr. Perry are exploring three routes for distribution, according to the official briefed on the matter. One involves rebranding all or part of the TV Guide Network, which is available to about 80 million homes. Lionsgate owns 50 percent of that channel; One Equity Partners controls the rest.
Lionsgate and Mr. Perry also could buy a small cable channel that has a complementary audience — the Gospel Broadcasting Network comes to mind — and move to rebrand and expand it. Another option involves Comcast, which extracted approval from government regulators for its recent takeover of NBC Universal by committing to provide more minority-run programming.
The relationship between Lionsgate and Mr. Perry is deepening as the independent studio shows signs of emerging from an arduous period that has included box-office failures and a failed hostile takeover attempt by Carl C. Icahn. The company has several prominent films on the horizon, including “Conan the Barbarian” and “The Hunger Games,” both intended to be franchises.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Lionsgate Entertainment reported a profit for the quarter ended June 30. Net income was $12.2 million, or 9 cents a share, compared with a loss of $64.1 million, or 54 cents a share, a year ago. Its stock rose 4.1 percent on Tuesday to close at $6.62 a share.

Story of Overcoming Lifes Challenges : Nick Vujicic - Life with out Limits (born with no limbs)

Nick VujicicImagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around a friend ; no hands to hold the ones you love; no fingers to experience touch ; no way to lift or carry things. How much more difficult would life be if you were living without arms and hands? Or what about legs? Imagine if instead of no arms, you had no legs. No ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand. Now put both of those scenarios together… no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that affect your everyday life?

“If just one more person finds eternal life in Jesus Christ….it is all worth it”.  You can help me spread this message today!

Meet Nick Vujicic, pronounced ‘Vooy-cheech’. Born in 1982 in Brisbane, Australia, without any medical explanation or warning, Nicholas Vujicic came into the world with neither arms nor legs. Imagine the shock his parents felt when they saw their first-born brand new baby boy for the first time, only to find he was what the world would consider imperfect and abnormal. Nick Vujicic Childhood A limbless son was not what nurse Dushka Vujicic, and her husband Pastor Boris Vujicic had been expecting. How would their son live a normal happy life? What could he ever do or become when living with such a massive disability? Little did they or anyone else know that this beautiful limbless baby would one day be someone who would inspire and motivate people from all walks of life. God uses Nick to touch lives and bring the hope of Jesus Christ to people across the globe.

Throughout his childhood, Nick dealt not only with the typical challenges of school and adolescence such as bullying and self-esteem issues; but also struggled with depression and loneliness.  He constantly questioned why he was different than all the other kids surrounding him; why he was the one born without arms and legs. He wondered what the purpose behind his life was, or if he even had a purpose. According to Nick, the victory over his struggles throughout his journey, as well as the strength and passion he has for life can be credited to his faith in God. His family, friends and the many people he has encountered along the way have also encouraged him.

Nick Vujicic SkateboardAfter school, Nick went on with further study and obtained a double Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Accounting and Financial Planning from Griffith University in Logan, Australia. By the age of 19, Nick started to fulfill his dream of being able to encourage other people and bring them the gospel of Jesus through motivational speaking and sharing his testimony about how God changed his life and gave him a future and a hope. “I found the purpose of my existence, and also the purpose of my circumstance. There’s a purpose for why you’re in the fire.” Nick wholeheartedly believes that there is a purpose in each of the struggles we each encounter in our lives, and that our attitude towards those struggles, along with our faith and trust in the Lord can be the keys to overcoming the challenges we face.

Now at 28 years old, this limbless young man has accomplished more than most people accomplish in a lifetime. Nick recently made the massive move from Brisbane, Australia to California, USA, where he is the President of an Nick with Kids in Indiainternational 501c3 non-profit organization; Life Without Limbs. Since his first speaking engagement back when he was 19, Nick has traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions of people, speaking to a range of different groups such as students, teachers, youth, businessmen and women, entrepreneurs, and church congregations of all sizes.  He has also told his story and been interviewed on various televised programs worldwide. “If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then He will certainly use any willing heart!”

The World needs to hear Nick’s life changing message of Hope found in Jesus Christ. Please consider supporting Life Without Limbs today!

Our Debt Binge Is Ending — And The Middle Class Will Get Clobbered

The world is coming to the end of a 50-year debt supercycle, John Mauldin says, and the austerity required to put us back on solid financial footing will hammer ordinary Americans.
Mauldin, a financial analyst and the author of ENDGAME: The End Of The Debt Supercycle And How It Changes Everything, thinks that the the US will soon be forced to confront the fact that it has borrowed way too much in the past few decades and must severely cut back.
The US's $1.6 trillion-a-year deficit, Mauldin believes, must quickly be cut to about $300 billion a year, or the US will face a debt crisis. And given that our current government can barely find ways to chop $30 billion of spending from the 2011 budget, these cuts are going to be painful.
What will the forced austerity mean for ordinary Americans?
Higher taxes and significantly reduced Medicare and Medicaid spending, for starters, Mauldin says. And then cuts to almost everything else in the budget, including military spending and education.
In other words, as has so often been the case in the past couple of decades, the middle class will bear the brunt of the impact.

National Debt each Presidency : Nixon, Ford and Clinton Reduced- less spending

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_debt_by_U.S._presidential_terms
A peep at what the national debt looked like with each Presidency : Nixon, Ford and Clinton Reduced- less spending

National Debt each Presidency : Nixon, Ford and Clinton Reduced- less spending

I'm proud to see that we have a African American President however past Presidents through "experience" were able to lower the debt.  Obama's biggest thorn during his election was that people said he was inexperienced which would mean he'd have to rely heavily on other people to lead him and think for him and as we can see the national debt is getting worse.  The great Depression in the 1920's trickled into the 40's they got it down then the Persian Gulf war with GWBush Sr. increased the National Debt.

I don't care what has to be done our credit rating is like you going to get a credit card and get denied cause you have bad credit.  On a national scale USA has bad credit and we can't pay our bills, no more lending and borrowing and the Global Collection Companies will come to collect- FIRST by doing away with the American Dollar cause it isn't worth the paper it's printed on and like any one in debt your a slave to the people you owe money to. We don't pay our bills, the people we borrowed from which is everyone globally can't pay their bills.

Understanding the Debt Ceiling and How it effects you -made simple

What is the debt ceiling?
When many Americans hear the term "debt ceiling," they compare it to the limit placed on their credit cards.  Using this analogy, it would seem foolish to provide a higher limit to a shopaholic (Congress) that is already abusing its credit.  Shouldn't we instead cut up their credit cards?
Unfortunately, it's not that simple.  And it's probably more accurate to compare credit default with America burning up its credit card bills.
The debt ceiling is a statutory cap on the amount of debt the federal government has incurred. The federal debt is, in essence, the money the country has borrowed -- by issuing bonds and Treasury bills -- to operate all of its essential functions. Any new debt we must incur today is necessary to pay for programs we funded in the past.   Lifting the debt ceiling, therefore, would not restrict future government spending -- instead, it would result in a failure to honor the debts we've already incurred through our prior spending.
That's simply irresponsible financial behavior -- for an individual, or for a nation. And that's why lifting the debt ceiling -- while often a political talking point -- has never been seriously contested: since 1980 alone, the debt ceiling has been raised 39 times, in Democratic and Republican administrations.
So what happens if we fail to lift the debt ceiling?
If the U.S. fails to lift the debt ceiling on August 2, the Treasury Department will begin on August 3 to determine which government payments will be prioritized to be made under the debt cap. In all likelihood, despite threats to the contrary, Social Security checks, Medicare payments, and essential government services -- including our national defense -- will be prioritized.
But federal spending in other categories could be dramatically downsized, with some government departments potentially shuttered. Looking at the 1995-6 federal government shutdown for examples, we could see a cessation of disease surveillance and toxic waste cleanup, closure of national museums and parks, cancellation of recruiting and training law enforcement officials, stoppage of visa and passport application processing (impairing the tourist and airline industries), and a significant curtailment of services to our veterans, ranging from finance and travel, to health and welfare.
Of course, we would have to expect such a scenario to be temporary. At some point, public outrage would force Congress to lift the debt ceiling in order to continue these critical, popular services.
But even in such a scenario, there would be lasting permanent damage, emerging primarily from the extreme likelihood that failure to lift the debt ceiling would result in the first credit downgrade in American history.
What's a credit downgrade, and what's so bad about it?
Since the first credit rating agencies were established, U.S. Treasuries have always enjoyed a triple A rating -- the very highest -- indicating to financial markets that they are among the safest investment instruments in the world.  Standard & Poor's, one of the leading credit rating agencies, has recently warned, however, that a failure to lift the debt ceiling would likely result in its downgrading U.S. credit to the AA level.
Thanks to those awful free credit report commercials, most Americans understand that having a low credit rating is a bad thing.  For individuals, low credit scores could result in the denial of credit for the purchase of homes, cars, and other critical items.
For the nation, the impact would be far worse, and much longer lasting.  Initially, a national credit downgrade would signal to investors that U.S. Treasuries are a riskier proposition. This means that in order for the nation to borrow funds to pay for essential services, Treasury would have to provide investors with a higher interest rate to compensate for the additional risk they would be taking.
Once those interest rates begin to climb, investors will lose further confidence in the United States. A vicious circle spins wildly, resulting in even higher interest rate hikes. Accordingly, the U.S. would have to spend billions upon billions more dollars on interest payments, further ballooning the national debt, requiring even more drastic spending cuts and/or tax increases.
What an irony: the far right's refusal to agree to a debt ceiling increase -- in the name of fiscal conservatism -- would dramatically worsen our debt problems and make it much, much more difficult for the nation to address them.
It gets worse.  Many individual states -- particularly those that rely on federal largesse and employment -- would experience their own credit rating downgrades. State coffers already stretched by reduced revenues in the Great Recession therefore would be depleted further by higher interest payments, necessitating likely state tax hikes and/or cuts in education, health care and law enforcement.
Finally, these interest rate hikes would not be limited to our governments' borrowing. They would immediately translate to higher interest rates on our credit cards and mortgages, directly reducing the incomes of hard-working Americans.
And higher interest rates are only the quantifiable impact of a credit rating downgrade. Ultimately, the United States' position as the world's economic leader would be seriously undermined.
Why would credit default threaten our economic leadership, and why is that important?
America's economic standing in the world would certainly suffer if it defaulted on its obligation to repay its debts to other countries.  Not only would this be the first time the U.S. had been in default: No nation has ever voluntarily defaulted on its credit obligations in the world's history. As European leaders desperately attempt to protect themselves from the ramifications of a potential Greek bankruptcy, they must shake their heads in bewilderment to watch America drive towards to brink of default for no reason other than hyper-partisan brinkmanship.  How could anyone ever again trust America's full faith and credit assurances?
Meanwhile, in the case of a credit downgrade, all of the global institutions that by policy or by statute invest only in the safest triple-A rated bonds -- such as many pension funds and investment trusts -- would be forced to dump their U.S. holdings. This would necessarily shift financial transactions away from U.S. institutions, and ultimately could result in the dollar losing its status as the world's reserve currency, a major blow to American global financial leadership.
What can I do?
Don't ever underestimate the power of the citizenry in our democracy.  We are at the brink of credit default because the loudest voices that our elected representatives are hearing come from the extremes of our political system. If the rest of us make ourselves heard -- and polls show that a clear majority of Americans support bi-partisan compromise -- Congress will listen.
So call, write, and email your Congressmen.  Educate your neighbors and encourage them to join in the advocacy.  And if you are looking to join a grassroots effort aimed at restoring bipartisanship and common sense in Washington, join us at No Labels, a new national movement of Democrats, Republican, and Independents, all of whom agree that we must put aside our labels on occasion to work in the country's best interests. Click here to stand with No Labels in demanding a bipartisan solution to the debt crisis.
But whatever you do, act today.  Time is running out, and should the worst case scenario occur, the genie cannot be placed back in the bottle.  It is up to each of us to insist that our leaders stand back from the brink, and do what is right for the nation.

Lauryn Hill Gives Birth to Baby No. 6, Fans React

According to reports, the singer welcomed her sixth child on July 23. A source told BlackCelebKids that although "mother and baby are fine," the little boy was delivered with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. "All is well now and everyone is happy," the source added.

The news landed Hill's name on Twitter's trending topics list, with fans offering a mix of congratulations, requests for new music and lighthearted jokes about her growing family.

"Lauryn Hill just gave birth to her 6th child. She need to give birth to a new album. #LaurynComeBack!" joked @BeatriceDouglas.

"Lauryn Hill gives birth to 6th child. That's one Grammy short of each child!" wrote @arthurnze. "Don't think she'll go back into the studio to make it even."

"I saw Lauryn Hill trending I almost cried I thought she died. But she had a baby #congrats," wrote @_KindaShi.

One fan noted, "S/o to Lauryn Hill tho. Trying to start a football team with all them kids."

Speculation still swirls around the newborn child's paternity, as the father has yet to be identified. Bob Marley's son, Rohan Marley, fathered Hill's five elder children, though he has claimed that the sixth is not his. He has two additional children from a previous relationship.

RIP Amy Winehouse - She will be missed.

Amy Winehouse's Family, Friends: Why Could No One Save Her?

The distraught parents of Amy Winehouse returned to her north London house today, calling themselves "devastated and speechless."
"Amy was about one thing, and that was love," Mitch Winehouse said to the fans and media gathered at the makeshrift shine outside his daughter's home. "Her whole life was devoted to her family friends, and to you guys as well. So we're devastated, and I'm speechless."
The five-time Grammy winner was found dead, alone in her bed, at her London apartment Saturday afternoon by a bodyguard. She was 27. Medical authorities who responded to the scene said she had been dead for several hours, and that there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol in her apartment.
Winehouse's family said the singer had visited the doctor as recently as Friday and received a clean bill of health. There were also reports that she had entered treatment again as recently as last month.
Winehouse was working on an album before she died but canceled her latest tour last month after a Serbia show in which she stumbled, mumbled and got booed by the crowd.

Winehouse's death follows a lifetime of substance abuse. Though she sought treatment for her drug and alcohol addiction numerous times, even those closest to her could not save her.
Winehouse's relationships with her friends and family -- particularly her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, and father, Mitch Winehouse -- were fraught at best.

Sad news. Singer/songwriter and Grammy award winning artist Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London home early Saturday morning (July 23). She was 27 years old.

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.

Amy Winehouse and her jailed ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, suffered a terrible, drug-fueled marriage.
But that doesn't mean the man Winehouse aptly called Blake Incarcerated isn't torn up over her death.
What did he have to say about her?
"I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her," he told his girlfriend Sarah Aspin, who was granted a special visit by prison officials in order to console him. "Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can't believe she's dead." Aspin related his comments to the U.K.'s Sun.
Fielder-Civil, who last month began serving a 32 month sentence for burglary and firearm possession at Leeds' Armley Jail, is now under close watch by guards because he is so upset and keeps sobbing uncontrollably.
Aspin had told the paper that her baby daddy called her on Saturday after he was informed about the "Rehab" singer's sudden death. She characterized him as "devastated and shattered."
"I just couldn't console him," she said. "He was in total shock. Blake is the father of our son. But I saw him and Amy together and I know they were really in love and they were soulmates. She always loved him and he always loved her, but it was just never going to work."
Aspin said that even though there was lingering love between Fielder-Civil and Winehouse, their relationship ultimately soured when Aspin became pregnant.
The "Back to Black" singer, who had recently made one last attempt at recovery, and Fielder-Civil hooked up in 2005 and were married in Miami two years later. They split in 2009.
