Phil Younghusband & Georgina Wilson Topbill A Sweet New Campaign

COSMO:

Ice cream has been part of really special moments in our lives. Think of that time your parents brought home ice cream to celebrate your birthday. Reminisce the first cup you shared with the hot guy who become your long-time boyfriend. Recall how your barkada took you to an ice cream shop to cheer you up on a bad day. Everyone turns to ice cream to mark good times and cushion the bad. Even models and your fave stars allow themselves this indulgence, despite having to watch their figure!

Football star and Cosmo Centerfold Phil Younghusband and former Cosmo cover girl, model/VJ Georgina Wilson are among the celebs who do not miss the chance to enjoy ice cream as their reward for their hard work. Though both stars are known to have excellent physiques, they still allow themselves to indulge in their favorite dessert. One of the brands they've loved since they were little was Haagen Dazs, so it was like coming full circle when the brand recently got them as their first brand ambassadors here in the Philippines, for the new campaign entitled "Anticipated Like No Other" (you can view behind-the-scenes photos from the campaign photo shoot here!).

Haagen Dazs introduced them at the press conference in Salon de Ning at Peninsula Manila, hosted by Cosmo contributor Bianca Valerio, who's a Haagen Dazs lover herself. The new campaign is about stressing the importance of keeping small traditions—like going out for a scoop with family and friends—alive. As Georgina says, "Anticipation is a huge part of getting the most out of an experience. With the kind of grueling schedule I have, I think I'm entitled to little luxuries once in a while."

Aside from a Q&A with the gorgeous new ambassadors, the event also featured a unique fashion show that fused indulgent treats with art and fashion. Models came out wearing designs by Sassa Jimenez that were inspired by Haagen Dazs flavors. Afterwards, they settled into different areas of the venue to act out live scenarios of how to best enjoy the ice cream: at a girls' night out, on a romantic evening with your beau, or even in a quiet moment all on your own.

Hottest Quinquagenarian: Albert Martinez for Belo

PHIL STAR:

The Belo Medical Clinic has decided to cover Albert Martinez’s Belo-sculpted body with a long-sleeved shirt and boxers after the MMDA guys banned the original billboard showing Albert in biking shorts, bare from the waist up, leaning on his mountain bike.

Check out the photo (above, right) of the banned billboard. Now, do you see anything “obscene” in it, with it? Albert is endorsing the Belo Clinic’s Sculptor Plus body treatment and it’s logical for him to be shown with his sculpted body.

The Belo Clinic appealed to the MMDA twice but they were turned down. Worried that the “disturbing” (as far as MMDA was concerned) billboard would be torn down like those of the Bench billboards featuring the Philippine Volcanoes, the Belo Clinic had no alternative but to dress up Albert (see lower photo at right) to please MMDA.

Now 50, Albert has been maintaining his looks and body for years.

“I told myself when I was 25 that I wouldn’t let myself grow old physically so I work out at home regularly,” Albert told Funfare Update. “I was really scared of age as a number but now that I am 50, I feel the same way as I did when I was 25. I am even more active now. I bike, I wakeboard, I run. Nothing stops me from doing outdoor activities, aside from working out at home.”

According to a Belo Clinic spokesperson, the Sculptor Plus treatment is a breakthrough non-invasive technology for body shaping.

“It helps contour the body by selectively heating the fat cells underneath the skin, making them secrete liquid fat and shrink in size,” said the spokesperson. “The heating also increases the blood circulation in the area, accelerating metabolism that physically helps the lymphatic system dispose of the fatty acids naturally. The treatment also works to tighten and firm up the skin, as well as improve the appearance of cellulite.”

Anyway, even dressed up, Albert’s beautiful body is still visible in the “toned-down” billboards that you see all over the metropolis.

(Note: For inquiries about the Sculptor Plus treatment, call 819-BELO [2356] or visit www.belomed.com)

A Day In The Life Of PHIL YOUNGHUSBAND

COSMO:

We know how much you love seeing and learning more about the gorgeous Fil-Brit Azkal, two-time Cosmo Centerfold, and 2011 Cosmo Men cover guy Phil Younghusand. So as a special treat, we're giving you an exclusive peek into a day in his life. As one of the hottest, most in-demand stars on the local scene, a day in Phil's life can get pretty hectic—he juggles photo shoots, TV appearances, and football training, on top of spending time with those dearest to him.

With all his passions and projects, Phil needs plenty of energy and sweet ways to make time for his loved ones. It's no wonder Häagen-Dazs™ chose Phil to be one of their first-ever brand ambassadors, along with the stunning Georgina Wilson, to launch their new campaign "Häagen-Dazs™: Anticipated Like No Other."

We followed Phil through his first Häagen-Dazs™ photo shoot last July 4 at SM Megamall. Just the day before, Phil and his fellow Azklas emerged victorious from their match against Sri Lanka, so Phil showed up around lunch time with a warm smile on his face. He was both friendly and professional as we worked with the whole crew and breezed through six layouts with Georgina. (He even enjoyed lots of bites of ice cream in between takes!) We loved Phil even more for his unwavering enthusiasm: on top of the shoot, he made time for a live TV interview, another video interview with Cosmo.ph (which you can watch here), and an autograph-signing and photo-op with pleasantly surprised fans at the mall!

On days like this, it's hard to imagine how Phil finds time to relax and unwind. Phil shared, "After going through a particularly tough day, knowing that a treat (Ed's Note: Häagen-Dazs™ Vanilla is his top choice!) or a favorite ritual (like dining out with family or friends) awaits pushes me to really do well."

The newest campaign of Häagen-Dazs™ puts emphasis on the "waiting" part―the anticipation that comes before a rare, indulgent experience (like a bowl of ice cream or some well-deserved quality time with friends and family). It's often the wait that makes those experiences sweeter.

And, Phil couldn't agree more. He told us, "There's really something about waiting for that special moment to arrive. The fulfillment and pleasure that comes after becomes even more rewarding."

Launch the gallery to see exclusive outtakes of Phil on the set of his Häagen-Dazs™ shoot, and find out what a regular working day is like for him. And, if you haven't already, watch our video coverage to see Phil in action!

Lovi is Belo's newest baby

PHIL STAR:

Fresh from the success of Temptation Island where Lovi Poe (photo) portrayed Serafina, the glamorous beauty queen brat whom everybody loved to hate, Lovi moves on to another project as she becomes the newest endorser of Belo Medical Group.

Even though at first, there was a hitch when the original Belo billboard of Lovi was disapproved by the MMDA, another image of Lovi was chosen, and now the new billboard is all over Metro Manila. “I’m grateful to Dr. Vicky Belo for choosing me to be her latest endorser because Belo’s treatments are very effective for my skin,” says the actress-singer. It’s not surprising why Lovi is blooming these days, not only with her beauty but also with her career as well.

After portraying the leading lady of top leading man Richard Gutierrez in Captain Barbell, Lovi will be seen next via a role in Jun Lana’s My Neighbor’s Wife, where Lovi is paired for the first time with Dennis Trillo and Jake Cuenca. “I’m so excited because Dennis is one of my ideal dream leading men while Jake is my ultimate crush,” says Lovi. Lovi is also part of Erik Matti’s The Aswang Chronicles where she is paired with Dingdong Dantes; she is slated to topbill the remake of Alma Moreno’s Aswang under the direction of Jerrold Tarog. Her third album is also in the works and her Rogue and Meg covers are now in newsstands.

Aly Borromeo: Anatomy of an Azkal - Latest Bench Body Photos

PHIL STAR:

Bench welcomes its latest endorser, Aly Borromeo, team captain of the country’s national football team, otherwise known as the Azkals.

Born in 1983, Alexander Charles Luis “Aly” Borromeo was born in America, but now runs on local fields, as a footballer for local team Kaya, as well as the Azkals. Moving from a goalkeeper to a utility player — playing as a central midfielder or center forward for his club and mainly as a central defender for the national team — Aly demonstrates the versatility and heart that makes a true captain.

What’s more, Aly is the type of captain that plays with his team in mind. This insistence on shared, rather than personal, glory is evident in his career. Making his international debut playing in all four matches of the 2004 Tiger Cup among Southeast Asian countries, Aly played as a striker, assisting both goals by Emelio Caligdong. This then led the Philippines to its first-ever win in the competition, defeating Timor-Leste, 2 goals to 1.

Of course, the player proves to be a formidable scorer himself, scoring in the country’s 4–2 win against Cambodia, in the 2005 Southeast Asian Games.

Illustrated prints make their debut with Aly as Bench endorser
And now, as Bench Body’s latest endorser, the football player shows off a toned physique, but it’s the hard work that went into the nonchalant making of this strong stance — the hours put into practice — that deserve undivided attention. Taking his sport very seriously, Aly plays football for the love of the sport and the discipline it builds, as well as the character it has created in him. It’s not about the man on the outside, but rather the formidable persona that lies within.

In the same way, Bench understands that it is as much about the man as it is about the trappings that clothe him. A holistic product line ensures that there is something to suit every personality and whim, and every interest that a person indulges in to make himself whole. Apart from the label’s popular jeans and shirts, Bench’s innerwear provides the comfy pieces for every active young man — graphically printed briefs with eye-catching waistbands, done up in comfy and breathable cotton.
