After claiming the top spot in the Google Philippines’ most searched people when he visited Manila, the Gossip Girl celebrity is again generating curiosity.
“2,000 hits in 45 minutes!” tweeted @penshoppe of one of the actor’s photographs they released in the site Twitpic.
Westwick, who plays the infamous Upper Eastsider Chuck Bass, is shown in a machine room-like environment. Other pictures released show him lounging on chairs.
Inquirer reported that, “More billboards will be up by the end of the month and more images of the actor will be seen in Penshoppe’s stores as their pre-holiday collection hits the shelves.”
Majority of the comments on Twitpic and Facebook mentioned the word “hot” but some pointed out that his pose was a little awkward. One fan wrote, “his arm looks weird....just sayin* but he's damn HAWT!!!”
Other fans hoped that there would be a billboard within their city and even their room with one user tweeting “Just wonder ..can I have this billboard with Ed Westwick placed in my apartment? Lol.”
During his short stay in the country, he visited Manila Bay and was surprised to learn that the country has more than 7,000 islands.
“Obviously it’s a region of the world that’s very rich in culture. I didn’t know too much, but now I’ve kind of just touched the surface, I feel. So I’ve got to try and make a trip back. I want to get out to some of the islands, which I hear is like paradise. So, it’s a very rich, diverse place and I’m excited to get back and spend a little bit more time,” he said in an interview.
