I'm sooooo excited!

Super Dee Duper Busy!

I'm launching my own agency!  Woot.

I've decided if I'm going to kill myself with long hours I might as well kill myself for moi.

My primary function will be to act as a consultant for the sector I currently work in, specifically doing project management.  The project I will coordinate for others is one I've run successfully twice.  That doesn't sound like a lot, however I've only had to run it twice because I achieved the status of having it every four years which is the pinnacle of success with this particular project, most get from one to three year designations.  I've also participated in several projects as a reviewer and I know how agencies suffer from the stress, the inability to time manage and a host of other challenges which leads to failure on some level.

Mission: To use what I know, feel or have endured to lighten your weight.

I have a huge opportunity to participate in a sector trade show at the end of the month which means I have to get my shit together and market myself professionally to this fantastic target audience.  The opportunity is only once a year so if I don't do it now I'm forced to rely on direct mail, email and networking with my own contacts.  Fortunately I have some well placed contacts, one in particular will refer to me and he's the CEO of the council which stamps these projects with The Seal at completion.  Yay me!

I'm well positioned, but I have yet to figure out what the market will bear in regards to my price.  It's primarily a not-for-profit environment meaning resources are scarce.  That said I'm money well spent, I'm efficient, experienced, connected and heck easy on the eyes (that's a funny).

I'm still working full time but took the week off between Christmas and New Year's to get my poop in a group (ewww gross) and give er'.  I don't want to give up my financial security until I know this baby will fly.  I'm pretty damned confident it will however.  I also run the company I'm at so up and leaving isn't in my lexicon, I'm responsible for 50 peeps they will need direction and a leader before I jump ship.  Lot's going on.

Bought an iPad, took an Apple seminar on how to use it for business too, great little tool!  I'm a true geek when it comes to technology.  People who are closest to me and who've I shared my idea with are envious of my passion.  Heck I'm envious of my passion.  Must run and work it!
