This is the author I had dinner with last week! Squeee! Anyway, this is the book that is meant to be read AFTER this one: Odd Mom Out
I loved this book. Not as much as She's Gone Country, and not as much as "Odd Mom Out", but that's mostly because I really, really identified with the character of Marta in "Odd Mom Out". In "Mrs. Perfect", a new approach is taken. The main character is already married, instead of looking for love.
It follows the character as she tries to save her marriage and her families financial future. It's a classic riches to rags story. Except it was told about characters that EVERYONE can recognize someone in their life who acts like this. I might not be rich, or volunteer at my kid's school every day, but I know some women who do...and they drive me nuts. Absolute perfection. They're after absolute perfection, and I loved reading about what would happen if their world crumbled.
It was a great story. And I want the story of some of these other side characters to be told. I don't know if they will....but I wish. *Sigh*
It was a good story, and I enjoyed it. Jane Porter never seems to disappoint, and I'm not just saying that because she bought me dinner. :)
