I feel bad! I'm going to make a confession to you! I am bad about taking our dog for a walk! As if it's not hard enough to have to keep my eyes on four kids walking/riding with us when we go, we also have a 90 pound dog, who literally drags me down the street! Making taking a walk QUITE a chore! One that not only gives me a workout, but also makes me feel bad for our dog. Have a look:
My solution so far, for training...has been a choker collar (which I feel is extremely unkind to her)...but she can slip other collars and when she pulls she needs to be stopped!
My friend recommended I try the "GENTLE LEADER" System. She swears by it! She said she wouldn't walk her dog without it!
After contacting Premier.com...we were able to give it a go...a TEST RUN...an actual system into place, for walking Jade without the hassle and struggle I typically go through.
This system comes with very specific directions and also a DVD...to give you a run through of how to use the product positively and correctly. This makes it less stressful & positive for both you and your dog.
So, today we gave it a try! Keep in mind...this video is a shot of her very first try with the system. I WAS AMAZED already (even for the first try) at how much easier it is to walk her. I am in LOVE! Seriously, would recommend this system (just like my friend did with me) to ANYONE and EVERYONE I meet! Who could have imagined that walking a 90 pound dog could be such a cinch?
I AM TRULY, HEAD OVER HEELS DELIGHTED with this system!!
