Now you know there is nothing we here at BWE love more than two members of different species falling in love becoming best friends. Even moreso when one of those species is a human being, as I can then fantasize of my own dream of waking up spooning a walrus or a polar bear actually coming true.
Hence this story of a duck thinking a man is his DAD or BEST FRIEND is one for the books. (That book being my homemade scrapbook full of photos like this and this.)
The story goes like this: A duck named Star was shunned by his family only a few days after being born. Even though he was a miniature yellow feather cloud with a beak made of joy. So Star did the only thing he could: Pretend his 65-year-old breeder Barrie Hayman is his Dad.
And now? They go to the bar together, where the Duck looks on slightly disapprovingly:
?I?ve been meaning to talk to you about your drinking?? ? Duck BFF (or is he?)
The duck even goes with him to the market:
On second thought, the best part of this story isn?t the fact that a duck has fallen in love with a man. It?s the lengths to which this man goes to appear Australian. The hat? Fosters? That face? He?s almost as Australian as this woman.
