Rania in Manila: Girl Kpop group to hold fan tour in September

MB:

Rookie K-pop girl group Rania will hold their first Asian fan tour in the Philippines on Sept. 20 at Star Theater.

The fan tour was originally scheduled on Aug. 20 but the organizers postponed the event.

“Our apologies for the sudden change but it will be for the better talaga. We tried really hard to keep it to Aug. 20 but it’s too sad to hear na ganun,” the organizers explained on the Rania Live in Manila fan page on Facebook.

Rania is a seven-member girl group which debuted in the K-pop scene last April with the song “Dr. Feel Good."

The song was written and produced by Tedd Riley, who is known for co-producing Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” album. Riley also worked with Jay Park on the latter’s song, “Demon."

However, Riley left Dr. Music, Rania’s agency, in May saying his name was used by the company without permission.

Rania’s debut in Korea also sparked controversy because of their “spread legs” choreography for “Dr. Feel Good” which drew criticism for being too sexual. The controversy prompted TV program KBS “Music Bank” to ban such choreography.

“Dr. Feel Good” is included in Rania’s first mini-album “Tedd Riley, The First Expansion in Asia."
