Karla Paula Henry was stabbed by a shard of broken beer bottle while she was making her way up to her condominium unit in Mandaluyong City Thursday morning.
"She parked her car then was about to go up the staircase when she was stabbed. The guy was drunk and used a Red horse bottle," co-Bb. Pilipinas beauty, Anna Maris Igpit’s told Bulletin Entertainment via her Twitter account (@annaigpit).
Henry has been declared “out of danger,” according to abs-cbnNEWS.com’s Aug. 11 report.
“She was stabbed by a drunk person on her way up to her condo unit. She's very stable now. Charges were already filed against the suspect,” posted the 2006 Bb. Pilipinas World as to who was Henry’s attacker.
Henry was the first Philippine representative and the first in the Asian region to win the Miss Earth title in 2008.
Recall that the last known mishap involving a Bb. Pilipinas beauty was in 2010 when 2009 Ms International semi-finalist Melody Gersbach, trainer of Ms. Universe 2010 4th Runner Up Maria Venus Raj, was killed when the vehicle she and two others were on figured in a head-on collision in Bicol on Aug. 21.
