Christmas & Holiday Cards...When DO YOU Start Planning For Them? Only 164 Days To Go...

Did you know that Christmas is only 164 days away?  That may seem like a lifetime to you, but if you're anything like me...you'll blink and it will be DECEMBER.

I was sitting here thinking about my Christmas Cards today.  I know, kind of a funny thought in 90 degree heat, right?

So, I have a couple questions for you:
  • Do you take a family photo for your CHRISTMAS or Holiday cards?
  • If so...when do you take the picture that you use on your card?
  • Do you hire a professional photographer (or go to a studio) to have the picture taken?
  • Does your family typically cooperate for a holiday PHOTO?
  • Do you create a color coordinated theme with your clothing for your photo?

Yes...our family does personalized photo cards every year.  It's a way for our family (that's spread all over the US) to see our family...in case they don't keep up to date with things online.  In previous years past, I have set the timer on my camera and "RUN" into the picture to get the "PERFECT SHOT", because we don't have anyone to help take the picture.  I am thinking about hiring a photographer this year to take ours...so I don't have to deal with the stress of getting everyone ready, keeping everyone happy and snapping just the perfect shot...as I run across the yard to get in the picture.

No...our family has yet to look like the Kardashians in a Christmas or Holiday card...but I a pretty sure that not many families do.  I'm okay with that...but I will admit that I love a cute & cheery "FAMILY" picture to send some Christmas spirit to our friends and family every year.

Are you in planning mode already for your CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY cards this year?  Let me be the first to SPARK your interest if you haven't!
I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences!
