Given that it?s promoting a potential summer blockbuster, the Super 8 trailer sure kept a tight lid on the one thing we actually care about: what that E.T. looks like! Are we talking about scales, giant tentacles or some kind of killer tree nonsense that will have us storming out of the theater a la The Happening? Well, based on what we can glean about the Super 8 alien from this teaser video, the creature from beyond the stars may or may not be made out of giant McRibs?but terrifyingly so. The video also seems to suggest that the otherworldly being in J.J. Abrams? sci-fi action flick has been around since 1958, over 20 years before the film takes place. Then why would they take it on a train ride? We have so many questions! Super 8 is out in wide-release tomorrow, and Elle Fanning and Friday Night Lights? Kyle Chandler are really going to wish they had a sneak peek of what they were going up against. Or that McRibs had been invented yet.
