"Love is Never Ugly" the tagline says. But this movie sure does. Lazy and unimaginative, poorly acted, written and directed,
"Beastly" is an inferior retelling of the classic
"Beauty and the Beast" story, based on a novel written by Alex Flinn. It that has a lot in common with another beloved work of fiction,
"Twilight". But, as much as I hate saying this, I enjoyed the movie adaptation of
"Twilight" more than I did
"Beastly", and I avoid seeing
"Twilight" again like the plague. Alex Pettyfer might be the next Robert Pattinson, but I have a hunch neither will make it past their teen sensation moment. Disappointingly, there's not much reason to go for the Blu-Ray if you're looking for more special features. Both the DVD and BD editions have the same exact content. Read on to find out more.
