This afternoon I decided to show some respect to some seriously good hair.
If you follow my blog, or read my books, or generally just KNOW me....you know that good hair is important to me. My hair is like a perpetual experiment in color, style, fun vs. function, etc...and I love it. Who cares if it turns out a disaster? It'll grow out! Who cares if it's a hot mess? Does it express YOU? Then enjoy it!
Grow it, show it, cut it, comb it, style it, spray it, twist it, braid it, dread it, paint it, color it, backcomb the shizzle out of it, part it, smooth it......
But above all, peeps.....go forth and have great hair.
Here are some of my favorite looks:
| I would love love love to have long red hair like this. *SIGH* Maybe I'll sell enough books to afford some great extensions... |
| My entire life I have wanted long, luxurious dark curly hair. Alas, I have short, straight dishwater blondish brown hair. Barf. |
| It takes an amazing woman to sport the pixie cut. My friend, Misti rocks the crap out of a pixie cut and she's FABULOUS! |
| Oh SNAP! I love this hair. This is what my looks most like, though red fades awfully fast, so its kind of dull right now. But DAYUM! That's some good hair. |
| I wish I were young and cute enough to sport this hair. I love it to the thirtieth degree. |
| I don' t think there's any hair more beautiful than an African American woman who wears dreads. Stunning. |
| I would rock a 50's bang in a New York minute if my face weren't so fat. Hmmm...maybe I'll do it anyway. |
| This, my friends, is my dream look. Hair, makeup, birdcage net, color....the whole package makes me want to call my hairdresser now. |
| My entire life I've wanted short platinum hair. I sported it for a while in the late 90's. I wonder if I could get away with it now... |
| Sorry, but does ANYONE rock the brown bob more than Katie Holmes? I mean, really. |
The moral of this post is: Do what you want with your hair. If your husband likes it long, but you've always wanted short hair....cut it. It's not
his hair. If you want to try a streak of a primary color, do it. What have you got to lose?? Hair is fun...and completely replaceable!
Go forth and have great hair!
