Holla Maidens! Boy, have we got something special for you! We have TWO authors today, Eve Langlais and Stacey Kennedy! Ms. Langlais and Ms. Kennedy have just released their latest book called Once Bitten, Forever Burned which contains two love stories! You can view Francesca’s review here.
Eve Langlais is a Canadian in her late-thirties who’s happily married with three children. She resides in a small town in Ontario where she works from home as a webmistress and customer service rep. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing video games, reading tawdry romance novels, and writing even naughtier ones. She claims her stories come from the voices clamoring inside her head. Discover what else her twisted mind has devised at www.EveLanglais.com.
Stacey Kennedy is an avid lover of urban fantasy/paranormal romance and erotic romance. If she isn't plugging away at her next novel, tending to her two little ones, she's got her nose deep in a good book. She lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband. Be sure to drop her a line at www.staceykennedy.com, she loves to hear from her readers!
UTC: Thank you to both of you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with us today. So let’s get started! Both stories are set in the same world and follow the same initial plot, of soldiers being turned into vampires in the battlefield. Who came up with the storyline?
Eve had the original idea. She had previously written a few chapters of a story she was working on. After a little back and forth, she showed them to Stacey and away they went. The rest is history…
UTC: Have you worked together before? How did you decide to write this story together?
UTC: Have you worked together before? How did you decide to write this story together?
No, we’ve never worked together before, but we’re both published with the same epublishers. How it came about was Stacey loved Eve’s work. Dying to worth with her, she contacted Eve hoping she’d agree, and luckily she did. From there, Once Bitten, Forever Bitten was born.
UTC: Is it difficult to coordinate having 2 writers within the same book to keep things consistent? What's the secret?
Not for us…it was easy. Because the stories are only slightly connected that made it much developing the novellas that difficult, and we worked very well together. Our brainstorming seemed to click and our visions were right in line with each other.

UTC: Will there be more stories related to this, or was it a one book story?
We hope to do more...that is if the readers want us to! :)
EVE LANGLAIS
UTC: Your story dealt with a difficult storyline of abuse and rape. Were you comfortable writing about this type of subject?
UTC: Your story dealt with a difficult storyline of abuse and rape. Were you comfortable writing about this type of subject?
I don't think anyone can ever be comfortable writing about that type of subject matter, however, violence against women is a very real thing and should never be ignored.
UTC: Which paranormal creature do you think is sexier: vampires, shifters or demons?
Can I say all three? LOL, I guess if I really had to choose, it would be an alpha, throw-me-over-his-shoulder shifter.
UTC: What's your favorite book you've written and why?
My favorite book has recently shifted from Lucifer's Daughter to a new release titled Defying Pack Law. It was a complicated story to weave because it deals with one female shifter and three, very different males who want her. Intertwining their different personalities into a cohesive story that let them all shine took effort, but I absolutely love the end result.
UTC: What do you like to read? Genre, favorite book or author?
I love urban fantasy and paranormal romance. It's hard to settle on just one favorite though. Kim Harrison though is almost a must buy for me along with Gena Showalter.
STACEY KENNEDY
UTC: Your story was a bit sweeter, vampire falls in love with a werewolf virgin, who happens to be the daughter of the Alpha. Did this Pack have anything to do with Tyson (from previous story) or where they completely separate?
Yes! Tyson was part of Kara’s father pack. As we all know werewolves are a tightknit group, and we can only imagine that when Adric got news of what Tyson had done he probably didn’t regret the way things turned out for Tyson.
UTC: Which paranormal creature do you think is sexier: vampires, shifters or demons?
Um...do I have to answer? I hope not, because I find all supernatural creatures in their own right sexy, and for all different reasons. Really, I couldn't pick. Heck, call me selfish, but I want them all! :)
UTC: What's your favorite book you've written and why?
Impossible answer for me. I love all my stories, each for a different reason. Some because the adventure is just a blast, or the hero makes me melt. Truthfully, the one I’m working on is my favorite…then next one I work is my favorite. If it wasn’t…I wouldn’t be writing it!
UTC: What do you like to read? Genre, favorite book or author?
Favorite author is Katie MacAlister. I’m in love with her dragon series, and in fact, just picked up the newest, The Unbearable Light of Dragons. Clearly, I love urban fantasy/paranormal romance. It’s not only my favorite genre to write, but also to read.
