My lips are my best feature which is why I didn't show them after the first shot - I wanted to show how make-up on my eyes makes me look more glam. I find that doing my eyes takes away from my worst feature - my nose. For years I thought my best feature were my ears which is funny because as you can see they're a little odd. I thought they were my best feature because I had ear pinning surgery when I was five and my mom told me I'd be beautiful after they were done. This convinced me my beauty was in my ears. I'd honestly tell people my best part was my ears. They must have thought "what a strange girl."
I believe natural skin showing through make-up is the best approach. Men don't like caked on crap, they wonder what you really look underneath it all. I use an airbrush tool because it provides excellent coverage without losing texture of the skin. Not that I want to look good only for men, women most often dress for women. We're naturally competitive and I find I have more confidence when I have my face on. When I wear glasses in public I feel I look like a librarian and disappear into myself, I feel undone.
I've attached some pics that have been touched up ala what I regularily do. On my main page - upper right I have (had -depending on when your read this) I have used the same effect in a pic. A reader said without soft lighting I look old. I say with infared I look old. Infared adds texture to the skin and adds shadows where there are barley any there in real life. I just think the eye look cool!
Men pay attention to numbers so I'll rank myself a low 6 without and a high 6 with. Regardless of where I fit I like myself today. Tomorrow is another day.
