Ok, so I finished a book that I wasn't at all sure I would like.
It had a lot of Texas and ranchers and bulls and wranglers...and anyone who knows me, I ran screaming from my rednecked roots a long time ago. So read this book on a recommendation (by the author--who is a doll, and I doubt she reads my blog, so I feel perfectly comfortable trashing her book if I hated it.) and it was fabulous!
I found myself crying during some of the parts. The main character is a mother, and some of her struggles with her son completely captivated me. I could relate to them so much! I found myself really rooting for this character, even though she was a former model (which made me want to hate her) and ridiculously hot. She was so....
normal. I loved it! Every time I put the book down, my mind would wander to it...
what's happening next? Will they hook up? Is her son okay? Eek! Completely addictive!
Loved it.
I am thrilled beyond thrilled to read her other books. I have one here and ready, and will be ordering the others for my Nook ASAP. The author's name is Jane Porter, and she has a fabulously
real voice, and a great sense of humor. And she knows how to describe a country boy so well even
I wanted to jump his bones! Kudos to you, Jane Porter, your book made me a fan!!
