I am currently being taught an incredible lesson by a very unlikely teacher.
My son. He is almost two and a half.
He is teaching me an incredible lesson in patience. Perseverance. Instinct. Hope. And did I mention...patience? I'm learning that I am entirely more capable than I originally thought I was. I can do things that I never thought I could. I can fight for someone. I can lay down rules. I can shut up and listen. I can put forth effort that I otherwise assumed I didn't have to spare.
And who would have thought....I'm being taught all of these things by a two year old. Go figure.
