A hot one.

I am currently reading Charlie All Night, by Jennifer Crusie.

It's good. Real cute and funny! But...alas...it is a hot one. Now, to some, that's not a bad thing. (Including me...there are times when reading a fiery moment in a book is fun, and completely adds to the scene.) But most of the time, I prefer hot scenes with a heat score of about a 5 to 7 on the 1 through 10 hot scale.

For example, I am obsessed with Kristan Higgins. Her books completely rule my world, which is unfortunate because they only come out once a year or so. (Sooooo frustrating. but completely worth it.) Her hot scenes are sexy without being smutty. They descirbe passion without mentioning body parts. Again, not that a particularly heated scene is bad...it's just not always my style.

So Charlie All Night is great. It's a great story, and the plot has me totally sucked in. And the characters are completely lovable. Allie is hilariously nerdy and work obsessed, and Charlie is hot and witty. (Though I do have to admit that the fact that the two main characters are named Charlie and Alice, and they are humping each other silly. If you know me personally, you'll understand why.) But the sexy scenes are pretty heated. Not naughty, persay, just heated. :)

So Charlie All Night is my lates book reccomendation. If you buy it, make sure to read it when your hubby is readily available to be made out with. Just sayin'...
