Shallow Much

1.5 sleeps but who's counting till I go.

I've had a few 'issews' come up.

Like the bloody eye thang. Literally a bloody eye - I had to go to emerg and everything. Half of my eye was filled with blood and I know vampires are supposed to look sexeh and everything this vampire did not. I'd ignored a sinus infection for too long, having got used to the headaches as part of my normal existence. But a severe attack brought on a headache so strong the pressure caused a bleed. This made me go to Emerg. Normally I hate taking up a doctors time in this unit because quite frankly they've got better things to do. But...I was at work and didn't have time to make an appointment - I mean people my eye was scary! The doctor wrote a prescription. I asked how long the eye would last and to my SHOCK and HORROR he said two weeks. Well after he had picked me off the floor from my dead faint he asked why I was so concerned - I told him "man, I'm going to Mexico - I can't look like this!". He said simply and with a condescending shrug "wear dark glasses." If I had the time I would have educated him about how men react to facial appearance and would declare myself now a five and average. Yikes man! The good news is he was a crackpot and my eye cleared up in two days. He's from another country perhaps two weeks and two days have some confusion in English. Harumpff..

I've been running now for a total of three weeks and entered week number four of training. But...an old Achilles heel hurt is acting up and after a run I can't walk on anything but my toes for 24 hours afterwards. Four inch heels will be the solution in Mexico. I'm planning on doing ziplines - do you think this will be awkward? Hmmmmmm.

The good news is my hairdresser gave me this miracle talcum powder for hair and it acts like a miracle drug for volume. I wondered as I applied it this a.m. if perhaps the powder was cancerous and then decided it didn't matter my hair looked amazing.

I have to go to bed now. I need to catch up on sleep in order to be rested for sleeping on the beach. Life is hard.
