I don't know how many readers have followed the Carrie Prejean story so here's a small summary of events:
Was in the running for Miss USA and was asked a question about gay marriage by judge Perez Hilton when she made it to top five. She took a ton of heat for her answer and she and others said it cost her the crown when she said marriage should be between a man and a woman.
A following developed for her by those who applauded her strong, Christian convictions and she became a poster child for conservative groups dispensing family values as platforms. Perez Hilton vilified her and he gathered tremendous support from his camp too. Meanwhile as the two factions warred she was booted from holding her Miss USA California title apparently because she failed to show up for more than 30 events she was scheduled to appear at. She claims they fired her because of the pageants embarrassment over her comments.
She has written a book entitled Still Standing is now on a press junket to talk about it. It was written to answer the 'deep' questions behind all the press of the incident. Specifically it was written to address these questions:
Why she answered the Perez Hilton question as she did
What really led to her losing the Miss California crown
And how she has been forced to battle the left's double-standard on free speech and the bias against conservatives - particularly conservative women - who stand up for their beliefs
Now isn't this all well and good?
Ya except the woman is a hypocrite of the highest order. If you are going to espouse Christian values young lady you better behave like a Christian. Don't get all high and mighty about values unless you hold some pretty good ones yourself.
What did she do you might ask that leads me to conclude such a strong statement regarding her hypocricy?
Well for one she accepted breast implants from the pageant organizers while blazing the pageant trail. Mind you she claims that nowhere in the Bible does it say you shouldn't get breast implants. Tru dat sistah. A bible phrase search does not come up with "Thou shall not implant breasts". So you got me there.
But...
Even though the Bible does not say "Thou shall not make sex videos" I'm pretty darn sure it's implied - or call me foolish.
Ya, uh huh this chick has made not one, as first indicated, but at least eight sex videos. Well they were videos with her as solo operator but still...
Prior to the release to one of her sex tapes she was suing the pageant for wrongful dismissal and they counter sued for non-payment of juicy, bouncy breasts. Once the tape became known she decided to settle the case. On her press tour of the new book she goes on Larry King where he asks her why she settled and didn't continue to fight the fight. She becomes pissy and threatens to leave the show calling King inappropriate. Listen Carrie the only one being inappropriate is you and I'm not talking about your poor behavior on the show either. Come on.
